@@user-hk8du7hg7i in the second book, the whole story with Sh'eenaz the mermaid and the duke of Bremervoord called Agloval, some ship was found with slaughtered pearl divers in it, Geralt waits for low tide and goes to investigate with Jaskier, he ends up finding massive stairs going down into the deep and they get attacked by underwater dwellers, who have armor, swords and are decent fighters, we learn that there is like a city or a kingdom at the bottom of the stairs, in the deep, but the story stops there, so it looks like they took that story from book 2 and pushing it a bit further.

Looks like one of the stories from The Last Wish that didn't make the cut into live-action, it was called "A Little Sacrifice". It even looks like Essi Daven is with them, but the whole "war with sirens" is original.
I sincerely hope it's not that. Gerald looked incredibly healthy and fit while in the book he had big financial problems and was starving. Also, the fish people look more like they are from Aquamen than in the book. It was my favorite story in sword of destiny so I don't want them to ruin it.

I’m gonna be honest this was one of the least interesting stories to me so I literally forgot all about it. This and the Doppler one just weren’t nearly as interesting to me as all the other short stories

Doug's voice isn't even half as good as Kevin's. Kevin used his natural voice, Doug uses his fake voice and that's a big difference. No offence to Doug but all he does as Geralt is speaking with a growly, whispery-like voice. Something that most people can do. Not many though can replicate Conroy's tone.
At least you had enough brains to hire Doug Cockle to voice Geralt which is more than what you did with the live action failure. I'll give it a chance just for this.
I'm really happy that this exists, I love animation, The Witcher, and Doug Cockle as Geralt. But Netflix needs to comprehend, that the Witcher as Live action is not Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones and as animation it's not Castlevania. Geralt jumping and trowing signs in the air? No. The Witcher is a more grounded narrative with a focus on characters rather than spectacle. They own an amazing and unique IP, but thy are trying to transform it in everything else, instead of embracing what makes it good.
Book: "Basically Geralt fighting once more with his insecurities and pitying himself while getting some development and one of the saddest endings in books" Netflix: "Aquaman war!" Now I understand they need to make things simplier for Americans

Looks like it’s the adaptation for the short story, a little sacrifice from the second novel. That was one of The most important stories in the Sword of Destiny to be cut completely from season two. The ending is one of the greatest moments in anything I’ve ever read can’t wait.

Another disappointing adaptation of *The Witcher* universe, Netflix has very little respect for this franchise that it horribly destroyed.

This is a bit of both, I can't wait. The show was rather disappointing for me. I love the books and games.
