You've got magical hands 😄 Greatest peony tutorial i've seen so far. Would really love to see more of these gumpaste flower tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing.
+fritziedc Thank you so much! I will be making more gum paste flower tutorials.... they are a bit time consuming, so it will probably not be until after my last cake order of the year :)
I'm so glad that someone sent me here to watch this. This is perfect & lovely & I am ready to make open instead of closed peonies! Thank you for the time. ~Heather Nicole of A Sweet Fix
There are alot of gumpaste flower tutorials on the web, but YOURS by far excel them all! You are very detailed and concise in every step. Thank you for taking time to make these beautiful videos. Please continue to make more flower tutorials. I just subscribed and look forward to the new videos to come.
I'm so glad you like it! I really wanted a clear video that shows, in detail, all of the steps... I remember what it was like starting out and trying to figure things out! Good luck with your peony making :)
Beautiful, beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your technique. This is the prettiest peony I've seen made so far. I want to try! I'll buy my cutters and get to it. Thanks!
Thank you so much Maam Renee for taking your time making this great video.. Im from the Philippines.. I also love the music.. Ive got to prepare for the wedding cake this January.. More time time to practice with this beautiful peony tutorial.. GOD BLESS YOU..
This one of the most precise, no nonsense tutorial on a flower that I have ever seen. It's truly a pleasure to learn this way. I would love to learn more flowers from you :) pleeeeease keep uploading more. Thanks for sharing :))
I have many many words to tell you now, but the first one that comes to my mind is WOW!!! This tutorial is more than amazing, it´s stunning... Thank you so much for sharing, of course I´ll try to make this beautiful peony :-)
Beautiful work! love it. I was wondering wich ae the sizes of the metal cutters. I have a set of cutters but I don't know if they are the same size. Thank you!
Thank you so much for a wonderful tutorial! I'm so excited to try!! If I'm going to make my own stamens, how many would you say I would need per bunch for a look like yours?
This is the best peony tutorial Absolutely beautiful plz can u share the colour u used for the peony leaves stunning n thank u for sharing plz make more tutorials xxxxx
Wow this was great is there any way you could give us a tutorial on rose making, that would be great. Beautiful flower by the way I love all your techniques.
I think I will make a rose video... I haven't yet, because there are so many out there, but I've been asked sooo many times now, I think I'll do it! It probably won't be for a few weeks though. So, glad you liked this video... Thanks for watching!
Rini Nuraini Hi Rini! I'm so glad you liked my tutorial. I used floral tape to put everything together. I actually buy mine at he cake decorating shop, but you can find it at the craft store as well!
Thanks for a terrific tutorial. Can you tell me how you made the reverse veiner with the amazing mold putty. I've been trying to figure that out and not having much success.
I'm so glad you like the tutorial! To make the reverse veiner- lightly coat the silicone mold with shortening just to make sure the amazing mold putty won't stick. Then roll out some putty about 1/4"-1/2" thick and press into the silicone mold and let cure! Mine got a little distorted at the end because I got nervous that it would stick and didn't let it cure completely, but I needn't have worried! Good Luck!
Roberta OBrien I left it for a few minutes to cure, but then got nervous and pulled it apart, so the end got distorted. But, the shortening creates a barrier so it didn't really stick. That being said, I've only done it a few times, so I'm no expert at it. I did have someone say that she used shortening on a piece of cured Amazing Mold putty and it kept it from sticking even to itself... and I know for a fact that without the shortening the uncured putty WILL definitely stick to the cured putty without shortening! When I get some more of the product I'll do a little experimenting and maybe post a video specifically on that! Good Luck!
I prefer to use homemade gumpaste, I use Nicholas Lodge's recipe, available for free here: goo.gl/AanFDS If I were to use a pre-made one, I liked Jame's Roselle's, although the last container I ordered was a bad "grainy" batch. It's really easy and cost effective to make your own though... and it's the best gumpaste I've ever worked with!
+iamsuperblessed Jesus saves! I order my stamen from globalsugarart.com. They are safe to be used with food, but non-edible. Because of the wires in the petals, this flower should not be consumed.
Kaitlynn Denmark I believe it was by First Impressions, I ordered from Global Sugar Art. I bought just one side and made my own reverse mold. They do sell a 2 piece set though.
Is there a specific tool you are wondering about? Maybe I can try to come up with a video featuring my favorite modeling tools and examples of how I use them :) I start thinking about how I would do that!
all the tools though :) (bone, shell, ball, scallop, serrated, star, cone, flower). sorry if its too much because i am new to fondant and just wondering about the basics :) thanks!
Gosh! I'm so glad everyone likes my tutorial so much!

That was/is my fear that it would stick. Do you separate them once you have imprinted, or do you leave them together until cured?

can.you please make a.video not useing the wire board as.i dont have one ty
what about its calyx ???please tell me
I rarely add a calyx to my larger sugar flowers, they aren't seen arrangements. You can use a smallish 5-petal blossom cutter to add a quick calyx :)
Many thanks :)
