Oh my!! I adore those wraps, my little one loves to be on my chest 24/7 and makes it difficult to get things done and I feel guilty because she's only 5 weeks and I am all she know's but mama needs to cook and shower. I wish I could afford one of these they are too beautiful

Hi i have a woven cotton ringsling. The material is hard n crisp making it hard for me to work around with my newborn, too much tugging thus baby easily wake up n get cranky. I just found that it need to be 'break in' to make it softer. Can i do this pillow with my ringsling? If yes, do i need to do this, then open again and redo it again to get the softness that i want or is it enough with just one time making it into a pillow? N roughly how long will you let it be in this pillow shape bfore you open it and get the desired outcome?

How long would you leave it like this for the wrap to be breaked in? Like just wrapping and unwrapping is enough? Or leave it for a while or just do it several times?

Mirjam Anderson the wrapping and unwrapping will break in the fibers the most but sitting on the finished pillow will also help to soften it up. I would not leave it in pillow form for more than a day or two as the creases can weaken the fabric. So unwrap then rewrap it every other day to break it in further if you need. Good luck and happy wrapping!

Great! This will look cute in my sofa until my baby is born! One question though: Do you wash and iron it first? And then pillow? And then wash and iron again? And pillow?

SiljeHH thank you for the comment! You are welcome to break-in your wrap in any order you please. Just make sure you follow the manufacturers or weavers recommendations for washing and ironing as some special fibers require special care. Good luck and have a wicked wrapping time!!

I would definitely recommend washing your wrap before doing anything else.

If it been made in a factory you definitely need to wash it. But also the fibres go closer together after washing as they will be quite loose when it first comes off the loom.
