    Would this be able to fit in the north and south canals and locks? Beautiful boat for sure.

    For £200k+, a beautiful boat. I'd love to live aboard her but then comes the problem of finding a permanent/semi-permanent mooring at a reasonable price! I can but dream!

    How many have been built.

    Yes! Will it easily transit all the north and south locks and canals? P.S. Rey nice! Just add a convertible top. In Florida, we call them Bimini Tops.

      Unfortunately no ... It can ply some in the north and some in the south but it can not go on all nor can it go between the north and south ...

      James Witte thinking the north and south canals could make contact via the east coast bays. Picking your weather of course. Around Boston. ??

      @@Mr91495osh ah ... I believe you are talking about the east coast of the USA ... I was refering to England and the canal system there as that is where this video is centered ... My apologies for the misunderstanding ...

    • @Mr91495osh
      @Mr91495osh 4 года назад

      James Witte no. I was referring to the east coast of Britain. They also have a town named Boston. I checked it out on google earth. The southern and northern canals open to the bay.

      @@Mr91495osh As stated, as for any widebeam, the North South divide applies. However, being a Cat C boat there is the option of cruising from the Thames, north around East Anglia to join the Northern canal widebeam network at Boston. Although choosing the right weather for that cruise would be vital I guess.
      By the way, the North and South widebeam canal networks do not connect via The Wash (the bay you referred to). The North does connect to the East Anglian section via The Wash, yes, but that still can't connect to the Southern network.

    I've been looking at narrowboats for a time. What percentage of canals would be inaccessible to a widebeam like this? How much would one be giving up? Understanding, of course, that one would be gaining the ability to travel deeper waters, including the channel. Thanks, Alex

    I don't know boating and this seems like much more boat than I would want to try to handle, but, I would like the ability to cross the channel (though I think I'd be scared to death to do it :D ) to France and cruise their incredible canals. Narrowboats give one full access to the canals of England and Wales but couldn't cross the channel. This would not be able to cruise the smaller canals but could manage many larger water ways.

    Drab Wood colour, boring interior, out dated style..
    When will boat builders snap out of the continuous ,relentless styling..
    The outside and the boat structure is beautiful.
    Yes, I know this vid is a few yrs old..but in 2021..much of the same
