You're a huge inspiration for my music. Absolutely love what you're doing with modular. To me, you're at the top of the pack when it comes to live modular techno. Cream of the crop man, and this is another reason why - great work as always, loving the bassline on this one.
One year later and I'm still caning this. Wonderfully inspiring stuff, makes me look at my record collection and think I've devoted my time, money and energy on the wrong aspect of music...
Any chance of seeing an updated rig (is it on Modular Grid)? Definitely interested to see how the patch has evolved, what modules you've changed out. Always super interested in your patching approach/architecture/framework. Amazing stuff!!
thanks for the kind words, I will make it public on Modular Grid, once I'm satisfied its exactly right. The main difference from before is that previously I had all the sequencing in the left case, and most of the percussion in the right, now each case has two sequencers in and most percussion is in the left case with its own trigger sequencing, the right case is for note sequencing and most of the synth voices are in there, but of course there are cross connections between them, but if necessary the left case can be used as a drum machine and the right case a synth with its own sequencer individually. Its designed as optimum for cable length, so there's much less spagetti.
@@suzybeeMINDTOURS Awesome, good to know, I'll definitely keep my ears to the ground for that one. Appreciate the quick run down as it was sounding really friggin nice man, nice and round and bouncy, nothing else quite like it. Thanks Steevio and big ups from Canada (still pissed I missed your Mutek show last year).
There are only 4 dedicated voices, and 5 adaptable voices built from multiple analogue modules. Dedicated - Jomox Modbase 09 (kick), Analogue Solutions HH88 + distortion and filter modules (Hi Hats), Analogue Solutions SD99 (snare / percussion), WMD Chimera (high percussion)......Adaptable (too many modules to list here) but these are used for synth sounds, chords, percussion, shakers, Bass, effects etc.. I replaced my Moog Voyager with AJH MiniMod VCOs & VCF + Doepfer env / VCA modules.... 2/3rds of this rig is a complex sequencer designed purely for live improvisation in a club environment
