    The stitch count is sets of 18 to the width you require then add a further 13 stitches to the foundation row (to keep the blanket symmetrical you need the extra 13 to make the block count odd) use the size hook your yarn states.
    You may have to wash this blanket to open up the fillet blocks once your blanket is finished.

    Another great blanket pattern took some getting the hang of it but once I did it was very quick to crochet. Have now done two blankets in different patterns of yours in a week. Great videos and instructions alison thank you.

    I’ve been knitting this pattern for years, This crochet version works up much quicker. Thanks for the tip about going in the extra stand it looks much neater, will be using it a lot. Also thanks for including USA terms

    I have mine going in Lee Wards orlon/nylon Brilliance yarn. I got 4 skeins from a Goodwill store. One of my nieces asked for a shawl-scarf with pockets, so I am making up this pattern then going to give her a choice between this and a "falling leaves" pattern for it. The falling leaves pattern I made 2 pumpkins 🎃from Jayda in stitches tutorial 😃. I'm subscribed to her channel as well.

    Wonderful pattern. I used Redheart and found that by chaining 2 instead of 1 in between the filet section, I had a nicer drape🥰. Cotton is fine with 1 chain.

    Oh my goodness Alison, I just simply love you! I've been wanting to make a blanket for myself, for my bed, twin size so kinda small, and found lots of stitches that would've looked nice, but this one is amazing!
