Great tips! Here is one that has helped me deal with nausea, especially the day or two after injection. Make lunch my main meal of the day, and stop eating five hours before bed. I was injecting in the afternoon, and then eating my dinner about 2 hours later and feeling awful the next day. talking with my health coach, we decided that my digestion was too slow to handle the amount of food in the evening then going to sleep on that. Feeling much better making my daily routine to get my bulk of food in earlier in the day and eat lightly for evening.
Hi! I'm going to my annual physical Tuesday, and will ask my doctor for a Zepbound prescription. My insurance will cover it as long as my doctor prescribes it. I'm 59 with a sluggish thyroid and can not get below 200# on my own for an extended amount of time. I'm on WW too. Subscribed 👍
@thedownsized Got it- 2 mths in using both Zepbound + WW and 20# gone! I have a 3 mth follow-up physical w/my doctor next mth too. Totally happy- it's a frickin' miracle.
Great tips, all these points are super helpful for maximizing our weight loss and feeling better in general. Correction at 3:24 appetite will dramatically “DE-crease”.
I'm taking Zepbound 15mg, and I've considered going dwn a dosage because I'm finding myself getting hungry. I'm only able to tolerate eating once a day maybe eating a slice of bacon in the morn. OMGoodness!!! I wish I could converse with you directly. I look forward to viewing the rest of your videos. Thank you ma'am!
You’re hungry, but you’re only eating one piece of bacon? I think you need to eat! 😍 Want to come on the show and be interviewed? Send me an email: ldurham7@yahoo.com
Your hair looks fantastic! Did you change color or styling technique? 😊 Great idea for coffee creamer! Btw, I’m a new subscriber and very much appreciate you! I’m learning a lot.🦋
Thanks! 😊 I’m always doing something different with my hair. It’s naturally curly (and brown lol ) so I’m usually fighting both those things. Generally I blow dry it straight with a round brush and curl with a curling iron. I do at home hair color to save $ 🤑
To the cottage cheese point…it is a good option for protein BUT it has a lot of sodium. I’m a vegetarian and just started this weight loss effort. My biggest challenge has been finding protein sources that aren’t sodium bombs but that has been the case most of my adult life. You can’t always avoid sodium but awareness is necessary.
Absolutely the best tips! I never thought to use my protein drink as coffee creamer - that’s a great idea. I do like walking but my weight (and inches!) comes off faster if I do weight bearing exercise - push-ups and squats.
Weight bearing exercises are great! I used to do a boot camp workout pre - covid that was awesome and we did alot of bodyweight stuff. Also great for home workouts (not that I like to workout at home!)
Can't argue with any of these tips - I struggle to drink enough water in winter (It's only 12C here today), & I can only drink so much tea & coffee!! :)
Hi i am from Scotland and just subscribed 😊 quick question. Is it right that as you work your way up in mg that you then have to work back down before stopping? Only on my first week but just wondered 😊
That’s the working theory. I got up to 12.5, hit my goal weight, and then monthly stepped down in dose to 5mg. I got too hungry on 5, so went up to 7.5. I might try spacing the shot out like 10 days and see how that feels. I think everyone is different and you have to find what works for you 😍
I have 1 no alcohol beer once a week, eigther Corona or NoMo IPA, no side effects with 1 but I won’t have more than that… I drink water all day and have it with every meal. Water is super important. Chicken is my go to protein.
I'm not a big beer drinker, but we did have Heinekens when we were in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Only 1 though! I need to go fill up my water right now!
Great tips! I especially like the part about the fun water cup. I know you have that cute Hello Kitty cup and I’m super jealous! Ate lunch while watching and realized I needed more protein… I think I’ll go grab a meat stick. 😉
Hey Mindy! I got that cup at Marshall's - they seem to have a lot of Hello Kitty lately. Fun cups just make me happy and get me to drink the water! It's easy to slip up with the protein - I really have to focus on it in order to get enough. I think your interview goes live on Wednesday :) stay tuned!

Thanks for this tips. I’m having hard time reaching my goal with my protein intake. And when I tried eating more I did it in one sitting and I got sick. Have to spread it. Like you I mostly skip breakfast. But now I need to add that just so I can spread out my protein intake.
Definitely have to listen to your body. I find myself forgetting to eat breakfast (who am I??) and then grabbing a protein bar on the way out the door.
I love all of your tips! They are right on. I am looking at bumping down for the last 10 lbs. I feel that I am not getting the nutrition I am needing. So going to slow it down a bit;) Wish I had not bumped up just because . You are right on with that one too! Thank you for your tips. Now tips on how to maintain on GLP 1’s:)
Thanks! I'm going down to 7.5 next week. I seem to keep losing and I don't really mean to. I am realizing that every food choice I have made in my life was either in an attempt to lose weight, or an attempt to say scr*w it, I don't care anymore. So now here I am trying to maintain my weight, and I have no idea how to do that! I keep adding in things I never ate before, like an arepa this week at our local Mexican restaurant. Day to day I'm still eating things like Greek yogurt, chicken, eggs. But it's nice to occasionally have a "treat" and not feel like I'm going off the rails.
@@thedownsized I have been on compounded semiglutide as of 01/01/24. I am down 39 pounds and had lost 32 pounds over the years prior… but started to gain that back! I was so afraid of gaining it back as I had so many times before . My Dr. listened to me and we found a pharmacy that I could get the compound Ozempic . I am going from 2.0 to 1.5 this week. I know I will still lose on that dose but it’s time for me to titrate down. I want to go slow and see where my sweet spot is. I love that the compounded medications allow me to do this. The pen would not. The 2.0…. I am just not eating enough. I know that for me I need to slow it down a bit. Your dilemma of how to eat now that you are maintaining will ring true to me too. I have gotten so much good solid information from your RUclips videos. I know you will be helpful in our next chapter.
Thanks so much for the tips. I really appreciated the bonus tip because I kept wondering about that. I am on week 5 of Zepbound 2.5mg and am averaging a little over 1lb a week. So it is slow. However you mentioned if we are losing 1-2lbs a week then we should stay put. I also have over 100lbs to lose so I don’t want to titrate up too fast though sometimes I think maybe I will lose a little faster if I move up to 5mg.
I’d say finish your 2.5 box of Zep and then move to 5. For most people 2.5 is a “loading dose”, but for others they lose really well on 2.5. Thanks for watching!
I watch all of your videos and love them…and agree with some of the above comments about some other sites that have gone off the rails a bit with producing more infomercial than information! Christopher seems to enjoy delving in to the nuts and bolts of these peptides and how they work, and I was wondering if you have watched any of the podcasts from Dr. Tyna Moore about microdosing of these GLP1 meds? It’s very interesting and I would love to hear an interview with her about it!
@@lindabookmiller8803 this is Christopher thanks for watching. We try to only say positive things about other RUclipsrs, we all have our own style. I’m a vegetarian/pescatarian, so I’ve been really thinking about protein. I eat fish, shellfish, eggs and cheese. Swiss cheese has a little more protein than some other cheeses. I did buy some protein shakes too.
For us vegetarians the struggle is real! I am not doing as well as I should. I don’t think I have ever gotten the protein my body needs to be healthy. I don’t eat fish but eggs and cheese are my go to. Protein shakes for sure.
My insurance covers Zepbound but denied me for a medical reason. Soooo, I pay out of pocket and use the Eli Lilly coupon that I found. Last month I paid $1250 this month with the coupon good through December 2024 I paid $550 🎉 down 10 pounds my first two weeks. I’m just not hungry or craving or constantly thinking about food. Very hopeful. I need to lose 50 more pounds.

This is christopher. Dana, Thanks for the comment. I have heard a couple of people talk about this condition. How common is it and How can it be avoided and or treated?
"Hyponatremia is when there are low sodium levels in the blood. It can lead to lethargy, confusion, fatigue, and other symptoms. Treating an underlying cause may help.
