Buzz has always been among the very, very best, with very little recognition. His work with Butterfield, IMHO, surpassed (easily) the more famous Bloomfield and Bishop material. Full Moon material and work with Neil Larson sees him developing more jazz chops, but never ever straying from "bite." Some of the edgiest "smooth jazz" (boy he makes a mockery of that term) out there. And then the very best came with his playing on two Dave Weckl CDs. If you've missed him, get hip before it's too late.
In the day of meganote shredding, Buzz is a fine example of taste, technique and TONE for days...kickass phrasing and dynamics...there should've been a 10 minute standing ovation after this!!
been following buzz for a long long time...him and neil larson are two of the greatest ..,,some of the greatest players unfortunately never recieve the recognition they so deserve!
Oh, Man!!! How many people can jam over the same basic progression (and for that long) and NEVER lose it? Well, Buzz can. He'll always be my biggest inspiration. So beautiful! His new guitars are stunning.
I saw him in '68 with Butterfield at the CafeAuGoGo in NYC. I was 16 & an aspiring guitarist. We bummed out upon finding out at the door from tenor sax player Gene Dinwiddie that Elvin Bishop had left the band. All I can say is that Buzz who didn't look much older than us blew our minds that night & his playing does to this day !
Phenomenal ! Buzz never fails to play as if his life depended on it ; whatever the occasion ... such intensity and drama .... and like a great Bordeaux .. he keeps getting better as he ages . If anyone is unfamiliar with his work here ... start with Butterfield and buy everything he has ever done . He never disappoints .. unique !
I remember as a certified female guitar tech at a store in New Mexico when one of Buzz's guys called us about becoming Feiten dealers and back then no guitars yet-I begged my boss to let me do it every time your guy called us. I could not convince him. Now I know why-didn't have Buzz playing this video-I'm thinking if that didn't convince him nuttin' could! Why hasn't he done more of this-absolutely luv the tone, I gotta have one, or two, or three, or.......
Played the most beautiful understated solo on white boy and the weasels cool subtle beautiful phrasing put him up there for that deeply touched by it has been a benchmark for me as a feel guitarist along with BB king, Peter Green And Paul Kossoff ..less is definitely more.. Still trying to figure out how he does that solo Amazing astounding Xx
A great share.Thx. I agree with Kimura & Inners: Buzz is "SIK" & "GREAT to hear him" playing strong. More power. Best health. Emm, now, to purchasing one of those Feiten gats. pcHux
Im pretty sure this guitar was put together, and set up by my good friend Kenny Bevvins in Westchester Ca. Kenny, I could not be prouder of the work you do. Great job!
Mindblowing ! it's a masterclass. I watch this video several times and think about trying to steal some ideas. This guy is full of creativity. This is so inspiring
I totally agree...and what is more....in his playing he reminds us guitarists how important it is to insert a tasteful chord or a bluesy double stop every now and then and as for the good sound on electric guitar where cleanliness, vibrato and bendings are included there's no better recipe than long hours of practicing for a lifetime... Mariano Vico Guitarist and English teacher from Havana Cuba.
Does any one know the band Buzzy had around 90-91, There was a blond guy with long hair and a black guy and they were playing AOR style music. Buzzy's chord voicing were so awesome! i had a bootleg tape that I made but it has gone somewhere into eternity :( Any info appreciated!!!
Yeah, I was just watching some Pual Butterfield and I was like who is that guy on guitar, man? So I did some checking and discovered this guy who I never knew about, which is ridiculous. He is great.
why does his guitar play in perfect tune all over the neck whilst "pro" guitarist's guitars do not? things that make you go 'hmmm'. google: Buzz Feiten Tuning System it works for me.
He is the best thief I know, check out the forums to see the thousands he stole. If you want a made in china guitar with no fret level this is your man. Thanks for all you stole and exploited from a beautiful thing I call music
Buzzy is the best, he is an excellent musician, and cool guy, way so underrated ❤️✌🏼
The best guitar player I ever heard bar none & has been since I first heard him 55 years ago.A True Legend

Oh my. Inspiring to say the least. Some of the best blues playing I've seen with just the right amount of growl for tone. Instant BIG fan here!
He certainly has the growl down!
Simply amazing!
Awesome! I am hearing Buzz for the first time! I love it!!
Buzz will go down as one of the 10 best guitarists ever-he can play anything.
Never even heard of him before. Oh hell, he's made me a fan. Different technique. Love it.
Since his solo on love March played at Woodstock I was hooked Buzzy is the truth

Amazing player with a line of amazing guitars!! Check them out at one of his dealers or at the Buzz Feiten showroom in North Hollywood.

Mindblowing ! it's a masterclass. I watch this video several times and think about trying to steal some ideas. This guy is full of creativity. This is so inspiring
OMG!!! The tone..the chops, the soul!! He has been a major badass since I first saw him with butterfield in 1968. God junior, IMO.
monsterous tone and chops go Buzz!!
He is fantastic and a super cool nice guy.
