Great list man, to this day I have never seen The Fly! These are some of my favourites. Paranormal Activity 3 & The Marked Ones The Shining & Doctor Sleep The Blair Witch Project The Conjuring 2 Psycho I & II REC Night of the Living Dead (1968) & Dawn of the Dead (2004) Alien The Ring The Perfection
@@DanGooberthe late 90s & early 00s was my era given that I was just getting into horror as a kid so a lot of films that came out around that time stuck with me. The TCM remake, The Descent, The Grudge, Freddy vs Jason, Wrong Turn are all classics to me as well
Thanks man! 💀🤘🏻 Some great picks there for sure! A few of those I definitely haven't seen and will have to look into! Another great thing about hearing from people, it gets me familiar with stuff I'm unfamiliar with! 🙌🏻
Interesting list and comments. Disclaimer: I am not a big fan of horror movies but have seen the ones most people have seen and prefer the older horror movies (Night of the Living Dead) and the originals that became series. Some random memories. This will date me, but when I was 8, 9, 10 my friend and I used to beg our parents to take us to the triple feature horror drive-in movies; have no idea what the movies were since we spent the entire night huddled on the back seat floor. The only movie that has given me nightmares was the original version of The Omen. After watching Vincent Price (King of the horror genre) decapitate his cheating girlfriend with a guillotine mounted on top of the closet I spent a year carefully checking the open space over my closet before going to bed.
@@alancarter41 Nothing wrong with that man! Everyone likes different stuff. Night of the Living Dead and the rest of Romero's original trilogy are classics for me. The Omen is great as well! Always fun to have those moments as kids. I'm too desensitized for movies to scare me anymore but there's still definitely some gruesone and twisted films out there! I can't explain my obsession with horror but it is what it is. Hate violence in real life but love when shit gets crazy on screen haha 💀🤘🏻 Thanks for watching, I feel like I mostly rambled on in this, i'll try and be more concise and on point with reviews 😁
We're in another golden age of horror. So many great horror movies made over the past 10 years. Terrifier changed the game for me. It's like Friday the 13th on steroids and makes the originals look tame by comparison. It pushes the gore envelope. Solid list you have. Some of my picks. Mostly newer horror, horror comedy and anthologies Dawn of the dead remake Jason X Cabin in the woods Terrifier The Grudge Trick R Treat Poltergeist Shaun of the Dead Creepshow Zombieland
@@DanGoober Yes, we've been getting some great films for sure! 🙌🏻 Yeah the Terrifier films have made me excited about horror again and i'm absolutely obsessed and it sounds like part 3 is gonna be one hell of a ride! @@Yaummers Thank you! I'm glad people are welcoming of the change 🙌🏻 I think it's hard to be a horror fan and not like The Evil Dead! 🪓🩸 Definitely love me some Italian horror, Dellamorte Dellamore almost made the top 10 list and then you have classics like Suspiria, Zombie, Demons, etc etc. My plan is to do a mix of reviews, some classic reviews of movies I love and older movies I haven't seen yet as well as newer more current elavent films! I just watched Hotel Inferno 1 and 2 as well as Adam Chaplin recently which were some interesting Italian films. Have a favorite Italian horror flick?
@@0LuctheGhoul0 Nice! Glad you liked it dude, didn't know if anyone would want to listen to me blab on or not and just trying to get myself in the mode for movie stuff. Texas Chainshaw Massacre Terrifier 1 and 2 Evil Dead Hellraiser Martyrs The Whitch House Of 1000 Corpses Blairwitch Project Rec The Descent the first ten movies I came up with. Dont have movies like Serbien movie , or August underground.. dont see them as horror movies
I've not seen either of the Peter Jackson movies. Like all the others on the list. The Exorcist & Halloween (original) were 2 that I saw when I was too young, lol (my mom was a big horror fan at the time), so they really stuck with me, esp the story with The Exorcist & the music & suspense aspect of Halloween. 3 other favorites of mine: The Shining, The Mist & The Decent (original, UK ending) You mentioned liking the supernatural elements & it made me wonder, have you ever seen the tv series 'Supernatural'?
@@crystalrainfeather If you like silly movies I highly recommend, especially Braindead, that's a must see! I strangely never got into Halloween much and is probably why part 3 is my favorite but it's been a long while and I feel I should revisit them! The shining is definitely a classic, CGI in The Mist isn't the best but really liked the movie, especially the ending! The descent is fantastic, love that one and yes, director's ending all the way, I'm not sure I even watched the North American ending but I know how it plays out and the original is definitely better! 💀🤘🏻
@GoreCoreReactsandReviews oddly, I've never seen many silly horror movies & I remember, as a teenager, thinking many I tried to watch were too stupid, lol. I did finally watch a reaction to Tucker & Dale vs Evil last yr, and omg, that is now in my top 5 movies. If you haven't seen it, you must! Since Friday the 13th made your list, Halloween might be worth a re-watch. - Agree about the CGI in The Mist, but living in the 'Bible belt', the crazy zealot aspect & what might happen trapped in place like that really seemed plausible to me, which sold the rest of the story. And yeah, that ending is brutal. Are you a fan of zombie movies? I can take or leave them, but have seen several. World War Z & Train to Busan for more serious & Shaun of the Dead for comedy, if you've not already seen them.
