Formed in 1969, the regiment emerged from the merger of the Royal Horse Guards ("the Blues") and the Royal Dragoons ("the Royals"), units with roots in the mid-17th century. Serving globally, it had roles in Northern Ireland, the Cold War in West Germany, the Falklands War, UN missions in Bosnia, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was part of key defence strategies and reconnaissance missions. Notably, Prince William and Prince Harry joined as cornets in 2006.

It's pouring rain and hardly anybody even is using an umbrella that's how it is over there and lost countries in America we use umbrellas I mean it's not fun getting your clothes soaking wet
I live outside of Seattle, umbrellas here tell us you’re a tourist. Our weather is similar to London.
@@DorothyfromKansasI live outside of Philadelphia where we have horrific storms and power outages for days. No one in my area uses umbrellas either. They are too worried about getting hit by a bolt of lightning!😂

🤔😕 And yet, they are encouraged and allowed to touch, hang all over, grope, kiss, feed, and even annoy and tease the horses on duty out front! / 7:34 - Make way indeed!! I love this trooper! He moves fast and makes tourists clear out of his way fast!! / 8:18 - Knew that was coming! This guy kept looking to grab the reins, as he saw that the guard was preoccupied! Too bad for him that this guard was very alert! / 21:27 - Another tourist feeding the horse! Tell me this isn't a zoo? And all the remains on the ground are now slippery, and they are going to cause someone to fall, hurt themselves, and then file a lawsuit for unsafe conditions, due to people feeding the horses. / 24:03 - The police officer swats her away. / 28:38 - I have arrived!! 🤣🤣
