It’s impressive to have that many people with little to no spacial awareness. Reminds me of my ex who used to walk into people she was looking at “on accident”.
I am new to the indoor karting scene, and in my limited experience it's clear there are two types of drivers besides myself: people who seem to think their grandma is in the passenger seat with a jug of tea, and aggressive morons just in it to play bumper cars.
Yep that’s pretty much how it is when it comes to indoor karting, it’s one of many reasons why I do outdoor racing in comp karts instead of indoor karting. Sadly there isn’t really any way to avoid these types of drivers either when it comes to the indoor stuff. They’re practically everywhere
@@Jacob_Racing_Messiah_Reis I only really do indoors because it’s cheaper and the closest to me is indoor, I’ve done a couple of outdoors and I will admit so far I haven’t seen anyone dirty, but indoors it can be mayhem, mostly it’s fine because we do the later sessions but every so often there’ll be someone that squeezes you into the wall every overtake attempt
Kinda wish the camera angle didn't get as shifted as it did, but I completely agree with you. If they want to pull some of the moves they pulled they need to all go back to Forza.
that's like 95% of all drivers at a K1 or any public karting place. My favoritea are the jits that come in with a race, helmet gloves and a hans device but couldn't put down a decent lap time to save their own life lol
Lol as the guy that bought a helmet and gloves and still gets beat every race, I understand that I’m not the fastest. But I enjoy the sport and hate using a rental helmet that’s still wet with disinfectant and other peoples sweat. The hans device sounds like overkill, but when you think about it you’re probably more likely to get whiplash in a rental race than a league race anyways lol so maybe I should get one of them too.
@@austingnz haha no argument here. I’d like to think I know my place and conduct myself humbly enough even with the bright helmet and gloves. I get your point though, I’ve seen plenty of guys who drop a fortune thinking it’ll make them hot stuff, just to get their ass handed to ‘em on track lol
Bad luck running into that many bad drivers on one race. Unfortunately for you, that money is gone as soon as you get one of those guys let alone 3 of them. With the me that was terrible to pass, unfortunately in order to pass him you have to drive elbows out. Either push him deep into a corner to open a gap for yourself or force yourself through. I try to avoid both of those at all costs, but you have to do them sometimes.
I find it funny that the dirty drivers were lapped at least twice the driver filming, yet they still wanted to try and act like the alpha dog so to speak. Shows how little intellect they have… or what’s left of it at least…
Im a NYS Certified Driving Instructor, ex motocross racer, future kart and auto racer and I tell ya, some folks need to stay home and channel surf, NO coordination, zero survival skills, can't think their way out of a paper bag and this is the same way they drive in 3000 pound cars for real. :-O scary out there.
Hey man, this is the best part of indoor rental car racing. You have to deal with it. On the other hand, the cherry on the cake is when you gently teach them a lesson. The track is very tight, so don't expect anything better.
(1) track layout is terrible. I can see that the barriers are not placed back correctly after a collision against the barriers, I can see "pockets" in different locations through out this track and width of the track is very narrow in different sections. (2) Track Marshals need to enforce the rules and use of flags. I know they have remotes to control speed of electric karts but "verbal and visual" warnings need to be enforced to deter aggressive/reckless drivers. (3) this would never happen at our track. I verbally give a "rules briefing" before drivers entering the pit area. Reckless drivers would have been verbally warned on the track and black flagged if it continues. We also would have red flagged the race, escorted the black flagged drivers off the track and restart the race with the remaining drivers. We only give 1 chance. After that, they are black flagged or banned from the facility.
I’ve never understood this crap. You get yelled at for anything you do. At some point you give up because no one supervising is on the same page. Might as well sit back and drive like grandma. Seriously you all getting upset is hilarious. These places are nothing but scams. And you go in and bash around children and curse them like adults. If we don’t rent out the whole place then we just goof off and make you guys cry “but grandma got in my way” 😂
This is why indoor karting sucks, no runoff areas, and dolts "think" guards around the wheels are for crashing into others. It's that brain damaged yank football mentality, that equipment is a weapon instead of protection. Kudos to the guy with the camera, he knows when to pick his spots and not crash through, lapping all of those clowns at least once.
Whoever designed this track lay out should be flogged. Only room for 1 kart in some spots? That’s an invitation for people to try to bump and make room where there isn’t any
Not to hate or anything but as someone who has had some experience in the indoor rentals with people who are having their first time driving at a track I wouldn't be going for such ambitious divebombs.
This entire layout is lame. The track is far to narrow and many of these drivers are so unaware of how they are impeding others. It's a shame that his camera was messed up when he got bombed.
Indoor karting has to be the worst idea ever. It's complete garbage. They control your throttle it's indoors so no room to race and karts need to be charged after every race for 3 races before it can be used again. A huge joke
I get people like this all the time at the go karts here at road america. Even if you have the faster kart they still insist on blocking you. Friday for example I passed one kid cause I was faster and he decided to spin me out. Kind of got pissed about that
I had a very similar experience to this about 6 years ago. There were like 6 12yo who were super slow but hell bent on keeping me behind them. What made it worse was that this place did have blue flags that they used fairly often but never touched them then
If i’m ever slower than anyone i will immediately let them past, idc if that ruins my lap time, i don’t want to have a collision, if i’m in a battle with someone i will leave them space, is it really that hard to look around once in a while and be aware of your surroundings. I truly wonder how these people drive with real cars, do they also just block off anyone trying to pass them or squeeze someone against the wall?
