The last sentence he said wasn't translated properly. He said, "In regards to experiencing a drug, trying it once is excessive, and trying it a thousand times can be insufficient".
It's a saying in AA & NA: "One [drink] is too many and a thousand not enough." Alcoholics & addicts suffer from "an obsession of the mind" and "the phenomenon of craving." Once that obsession takes control, a single sip/hit/dose/puff/etc. sets off that craving for more and more and more... Much like other illnesses or diseases, alcoholism & addiction are chronic, progressive, and--if untreated--fatal. Unlike other illnesses or diseases, such progression usually lead to "jails, institutions, and death."
He totally butchered Molly, though. Not sure what he was taking, but it definitely wasn't pure MDMA. And trying to explain LSD to someone who hasn't taken it? Come on.. Other than that, he did a pretty good job.
When he said you start by the people closest to you I was like thank god. A lot of people don’t realize that you are pressured by the environment and social status of those around you. I was told that nothing bad would result from using, that I would just have a good time, and that it was just for fun. But that’s not the case, everything is for fun until it’s not. I got addicted and from having fun to using it every month, to every week, until I couldn’t go throughout my day without the fix. Recovery is hard but is 100% worth it. 12 days sober!
every day without drugs counts and is an accomplishement! one has to replace them with things that make you feel happy and good about yourself! also cherish your healthy body ... 🤗
They are quite common in poor neighborhoods Since most people know Korea because of music or dramas they think is a great place where people don't do drugs or that they don't have poor neighborhoods where drugs, robberies, prostitution and murders are common Even when some artists (mostly khiphop) talk about that a lot of people make fun of them saying that "they don't know" because they live in a "peaceful country", Denying all the experience and suffering they went through
@@ajoohcmoohc lol most of these khiphop kids are from middle class or upper class families. Most Korean rappers do hip hip because it is a counter culture, It makes them cool and special, on the fringe but alas it is becoming a lot more mainstream in Korea now just like it did in the US.
Korea is not a heaven.. its just anither country with its own problems. You have illegal substances in nearly every country im sure. If people can make money out of something they'll do it.
It’s a sneaky drug definitely. People are so used to it, that they think it won’t hurt them. In reality it’s killing their liver, and can easily kill them. People also fail to realize that chronic alcohol use can actually make your body dependent on it, which makes it hard to get sober. Getting sober at that point (especially if you try to do it cold turkey) can actually kill you.
I interpreted his comments on weed as not having an issue with the actual plant being smoked but the synthetic weed that has ridiculous THC concentration is bad. Which he is honestly right about, the higher concentration does increase risks, plus a lot of those cheap, bootleg vape juices have other weird chemicals in them that can really mess your brain and body up.
@@ysko7 What do you mean dosed. If you can get your hands on 16% THC commercialised marijuana you would be dissapointed at having bought such shitty weed. Legal weed is a lot stronger, grown up to 35% THC and this number is increasing by the year. If you buy illegal weed it isn't commercially grown and doesn't have the same amount of THC. I'd say between 15-25% THC. Illegal weed is just as harmfull as legal weed. Except in the US where they spray your weed with hairspray or even worse.
@@kl4753 that's why legalised commercialization is better, because at least you actually KNOW the concentration of thc you buy and where/how it was grown
yes i smoked weed but never synthetic in new zealand we do it different we dont trust dealers so we grow our own i have a friend who lost life because synthetic weed he went to sleep and never woke up and another friend who now has by polar i recommend not smoking it unless its natrual
@@etamamoka180 That sucks, In Belgium we don't have stuff like synthetic weed. I have been smoking daily for 5-6 years about 6 grams a day (I'm addicted af, I know and I am working on it) Only thing we have here are some dealers that would spray it with hairspray so the weed would weigh more. But its very visable, the buds are very hard and when you are smoking the ashes are sticky and don't fall off. But over the 6 years I have only had it happen to me like 5 times. I know probably about a 100-500 people that smoke weed here and nobody has ever had synthetic weed. Once I had weed that was already growing fungus that fucked me up but that was only once. For people to worry about this stuff is if you are smoking daily, and even then it's very rare, normal smokers don't have to worry at all here in Belgium. But like the LSD I have come across here have never been bitter, never tested it though. MDMA and pills like 2CB are also quite clean compared to things I read about on in other countries. I guess we have a good drug market here. Maybe it is because Antwerps is a big drugport and because we live close to the port the drugs haven't been cut asmuch yet I don't know. Been in the drug scene for a third of my life now and have only heard of 2 overdoses, one GHB and one that mixed like 7 drugs and thats it. Thank god they both survived.
This dude basically said he went through withdrawal in prison???? Like, raw withdrawal with no help or medicine whatsoever????? This man is a real warrior fr surviving this is insane
When I was in my late teens, early 20s, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. My friend asked me if I wanted a better way out. I said yes. I was in chemo for 2.5yrs and told I was cancer free and going to live, finally, but I was by then addicted to meth. One day at work I passed out and woke up in the hospital. I'd tried for those 2.5yrs to OD, to go out on my terms. I went home that day, told everyone in our house if they were real friends, they'd stay, never bring drugs into the house again and at least be clean when they came to visit. Only a few stayed. I went cold turkey that day and haven't touched anything other than prescription meds and even then I'm very careful. Now if I smell anything that reminds me of meth, marijuana, coke, anything I took back then, I dry heave. I used to puke, but I've gotten control over it now. I love hearing stories from others who have beaten the addiction. This gentleman may not know me, but I want to say to him that he is awesome. It takes a lot more strength to walk away than people really realize.
Marijuana is much safer in a controlled setting, which is why in the US it’s legal in some places because it’s controlled, tested, and dispensaries are inspected consistently. People can’t just do what they want with it, so I don’t want Koreans to think that Marijuana in America is the same as Marijuana in Korea, it’s different and controlled, and safer. (Also I just want to reference that yes, IF you buy from a street drug dealer then duh it won’t be safe, but if you get it from a LICENSED dispenser where they grow their weed and it’s regulated then you will be safe, I thought that was like a duh thing, but I guess not)
Yeah, I think what he was saying is that those crazy high concentration vape juices are a problem but just regular marijuana at 15-20% is ok. Which I agree with tbh, I don't think consuming that concentration of any chemical is a good idea lol
@@jasonnash4452 Alcoholism happens more than people think because it's legal. In actuality, the side effects are worse than many of the drugs stated in the video, so it begs the question of what, why, and how much each substance should be regulated. P.S. I'm a recovering addict (1 full year clean as of recently) and I love videos like these it makes me feel less alone in the world and with my struggles, breaking addiction is one of the hardest things I've had to do especially with no support on my side. I've struggled since I was about 13 with drugs and at 19 I almost lost my life from an accident fentanyl overdose, I cry thinking about it because the paramedics almost couldn't get me to wake up no matter what they tried and because my heart stopped for so long I do have some lasting mental effects. I've done all sorts of drugs the only ones I haven't are heroin and bath salts so I can say he pretty accurately described the drugs and side affects. It's never worth it people you're not above the drug you can think you won't get addicted all you want but you can and will, if you're struggling as well I'm more than happy to message you and be your support if you don't have any.

Yes, weed should be legal and can help some people with their pain. However opiods have a true real value for people with severe chronic pain that thc or cbd can't touch.
yep. unfortunately for ppl like my grandparent with severe arthritis n shit, weed wont help at all.....its a very nice thought but will cause Mass sucides and shit. even me with headaches and back pain, Mary jane only help so much bro. As I reside in a country (Canada) that has legalized the sale, consumption and even the right to grow our own plants for personal use (might it be medical or not). I truly believe that having a regulatory branch of the government supervising the procurement (traceability) and quality (limit of thc and cbd) of the product does limit the possibility of negative side effects from products from illicit sources (purveyors). And also by setting an age limit such as alcohol is beneficial; as pertaining to the ongoing brain growth and development of young adults into adulthood. It's funny how people just think of marijuana and not at the plant (cannabis) that has a long lived history (more than 10 000 years) as part of ceremonies or tonic or event the widely known fiber that it produces (hemp).

Back when I was 21-22 around there I was hooking up with this guy and his brother was a dealer. And I struggle a lot with anxiety and especially social anxiety, so I usually get drunk when I want to be social. But it didn't make me feel good, it made my body feel uncomfortable, and I would be unable to sleep and I'd be cold sweating from it too. After about 3-4 months I quit seeing the guy because it was too much for me, to have to do that all the time. One time I had taken too much and I kept fainting, and when I was washing my hands in the bathroom I fainted and hit my mouth on the sink and broke half of my tooth of... MDMA helps with anxiety. Molly are usually laced with other substances that gives you more energy in a party environment. I think some comments are missing the fact that not only he's talking about his own experience but about the current reality of the risks of taking ILLEGAL drugs. He even mentioned how they're test subjects because they don't know the composition of the drugs they take (since they are illegal). The studies that indicate benefits are great news, but obviously scientific studies are done in a controlled environment with a precise composition for the drugs, and it's unlikely (or at least impossible to confirm) that street drugs' composition match them.
I like what he said in the end, I read it in a book written by a drug addict and I always say it when a friend says they want to try, 'once is too much, a thousand is never enough'

It’s interesting how surprised these ladies are at the experiences he’s telling them about. Are the effects of drug use not prevalently taught in Korea? I feel like in the US we have easy access to learning the effects of drug use through books, shows/documentaries, personal experiences, etc. Dopesick (Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America) by Beth Macy is a good example. This book documents how the opioid epidemic began in the US, factors that have kept fueling it, and the lives it has ruined and forever changed.

It's strange seeing how little they know about (hard) drugs. They are so rampant in the U.S. I know people who have tried drugs, people who have lost family to drugs, and countless stories of people who have witnessed people do unspeakable things on drugs. My own cousins were born addicted to drugs because their bio mom was a severe addict. Don't do drugs, you don't deserve what will happen, neither do the people who love and care for you.
One of the reason is because drugs are not commonly portray in South Korean media plus the teens who are using it are kinda low key and ashamed unlike in Western countries who are mostly proud about using it.
Agreed. I’m still in high school and basically everyone I know on my dads side of the family are addicts. They all have severe issues that have came from addiction alone and it’s extremely sad and unfortunate. Not to mention drugs are easily accessible here in the states.

this was perfectly executed... educational but also, by the end you realize that when you only hear the good things or attraction of drugs, you're curious enough to think "before i die, i might try it..." which, tho by the end that curiosity gets snuffed out by the information and anecdotes, you have empathy for those who get caught in addictions thru curiosity and bad influences. having former drug addicts speak to people is so important- drugs should be talked about openly to satisfy curiosity with info about consequences. but criminalizing and stereotyping addicts will never be the right path that gets at the root of the problem. anyone, no matter who, could become addicted. we all make mistakes, it's natural to be curious and experiment, especially when you're young. if we relate more to addicts, even realizing that with just a few different circumstances you might've gotten caught up in a drug... i think we would become more pro-active about drugs in communities, be more understanding and supportive of recovery, no matter what country or community, if we based our education on empathy such as this gentleman.
Marijuana use has been shown to worsen the course of illness in patients who already have schizophrenia. Not just anybody and not all schizophrenics. It's a god send for others who suffer from pain, sleeplessness, or eating disorders.
I think for an anti-drug message to be effective, you've got to be honest, so I just want to point out: marijuana is actually pretty safe. (Real marijuana plants, that is. Not synthetic marijuana or marijuana with additives or whatever.) It's much safer than alcohol.
A friend of mine dated a guy who's drug of choice was marijuana. Marijuana for recreational purposes is legal in the state I live in but too expensive. He turned to an alternative source, a synthetic known as Spice. The drawback was, like other drugs, he became addicted to it and caused him to go into psychosis. Subsequently, he went to jail and she left him.
When it comes to weed it’s not a really scary drug, maybe because i’ve started out smoking really young, it’s not a good thing because it becomes a habit but you can’t die from it. A lot of people in the states start smoking weed as young as 13.
But not all will only laugh and eat more from cannabis stuff.Intense panic attacks and stuff are also real. Some people only experience panic from marijuana.Same for lsd.Lsd is not that harmful, but the experience could be traumatizing for many.
@@ss-cat7 Yes edibles will do that to you, but weed directly could never kill you so it’s safe but as always you have to be responsible since you could be extremely paranoid and panic
A lot of this sounds like the D.A.R.E. program in the US from the 80s and 90s. It wasn't very successful at preventing my generation from trying out drugs. What is important is to figure out whether you have an addictive personality or not. I tried marijuana, acid(lsd), mushrooms, and ecstasy numerous times in college at parties, raves, and with friends. It was very fun. But I guess I'm not built for addiction because it wasn't hard to put those substances behind me once I graduated. I probably take a thc edible once a year socially with friends, have a few glasses of wine once a month.
most of those substances are low on addiction scales... you don't need an addictive personality to get hooked on harder drugs like heroin, crack, nicotine, and alcohol. There is actually a lot more at play than just "addictive personalities" in terms of addiction. There is also comorbid drug use among those who suffer from mental health issues. It was also easy for me to stop smoking marijuana, taking acid, and doing mushrooms after college however, that does not mean that I am safe from other substances.
The concept of an "addictive personality" is actually a myth. There are no personality traits that predict addiction or make someone more likely to become an addict. There are definitely pre-disposing factors like mental health issues, living in poverty, trauma, etc. But in terms of actual personality traits there's no correlation
true, it’s not actually personality but by environment and genetics. newer studies are suggesting addiction can run in the family - around 50% chance of someone predisposed to addiction becoming addicted. the predisposition is based on genetic variations. prob something to do with how ur brain reacts to substances but not sure. the other 50% is environmental. so family history is super important to know! personally, addiction is very traceable in my own family.
and injecting is actually slightly faster than snorting. snorting kicks in fast because we have mucus membranes in our nose, which takes the drug into the bloodstream. injecting is putting the drug RIGHT into the bloodstream
False : snorting hits faster because of the nerves that are directly linked to the brain and provoke the effects of the drugs. If you inject the drug, the molecules will need to pass the bbb (blood-brain barrier) in order to hit the appropriate receptors and make you feel the effects. -- from France
They are so shocked about drugs but there is so much research coming out about the benefits of marijuana, mdma and other drugs on mental health and physical disorders. Yet alcohol is the most normalized and causes the most amount of deaths 😳 I’ve done so many drugs and my reaction to alcohol is still the worst to me.
Not me stoned from cannabis watching this cracking up at their explanation of it. 😂 Bless your hearts, but yes Mary Jane makes everything feel great but NO I don’t want to start doing harder drugs. That’s pure ignorance and you can develop schizophrenia IF it’s a mental health condition that runs in your family. But that can happen with any trigger. Like how you can’t mix certain medications because you can experience side effects. You can just experience something really traumatic and have a mental breakdown and develop schizophrenia. Just like if you eat poorly and don’t workout, you can develop serious diseases. Marijuana is considered medicine in my state and it’s also used legally recreationally. South Korea still has so much learning to do about cannabis. You can’t demonize a plant that has SO many health benefits. You certainly don’t become suicidal when using it that’s why it’s also used for depression.🖤🖤🖤
You can't demonize, but you also can not sanctify it. It is a plant, but it is still a drug. People must be aware of what they are taking, and it is not "just like if you eat poorly you candy develop some diseases". That's just being irresponsable, you know that this comparison is a fallacy. Marijuana has its perks, but it can still be addictive and hard to quit. It can trigger a number of mental disorders. Yes it can be used for depression, but just like any other licit drug, if the dosage is wrong, or if you have some predisposition, it will cause you some pretty shitty things. I don't agree with how they portrayed, cause that's just that "spooky" kind of thing, that usually don't work, and I do think it should be legal. But it's still a drug if is used for that end, and awareness is needed.
This is a great video because although it is cute how naive and unexposed y'all are when it comes to this stuff, you're actually woefully ignorant to the devastation drugs can cause. I live in a state where meth is a big problem and there's nothing funny about it. When you see what it does to people's bodies and affects the people around them it's awful. We learned all about these kinds of drugs from elementary school through high school.
This is where the culture difference lies. As an Asian, we never learned about drugs at school (idk in other countries but even in my country, we don’t get good sex ed). I think it’s because the Asian culture has a way of thinking that knowing nothing is better, thus, we may seem “ignorant” like how you deem us but it’s just because we’ve never been enlightened unless we do an independent research.

like it is understandable that a school will not want the students to be doing drugs, of course. but drug testing students invades your privacy rights, it does not stop people from doing drugs, and it does not address the causes of drug abuse. it is better for school officials to focus on education and outreach than privacy violations and punishment.
my first comment didn't post maybe cuz it had a l I n k in it but, anyway, this might be a violation of your Constitutional rights if you're in the USA! it is not legal in every state to do drug tests on students and they need probable cause for specific targeted testing and stuff. You can learn more by looking it up thru the ACLU.
His experimece recovering reminded me of that painful scene from euphoria when rue was recovering from withdrawal and staying clean and couldn’t even open a holy rancher rapper :( I’m so sorry for the people who have to feel this way
I also got introduced to drugs from the closest ppl around me at that time and when they all got clean they all forgot about me even though I just needed support like they got from me and their family and other friends but that didn't happen for me so I don't talk to no one from my past no more which is the best choice I made because one of them is dead from drugs and the rest are back on drugs because they continued to hang out with the ppl they did drugs with when they got clean so yea don't dwell in the past
I think if weed wasn't treated like a hard-core drug it wouldn't be a gateway to hard-core drugs. It also has serious medical benefits and reportedly kills 0 people every year vs alcohol being the 3rd leading cause of preventable death in the US.
I personally knew of one person who did drgs in my neighborhood and it was my brother's childhood friend/neighbor, they grew apart as the years went and unfortunately this neighbor hung around bad people. he passed away by overdose a few years ago. he was young, my brother just got back from college when he heard the news and was in shock. this neighbor's family were good people, some were in the entertainment industry; it feels bad when a part of our community gets taken this early and suddenly.
To add onto the ecstacy/molly/mdma side effect that he stated; quite literally you end up taking more and more before you know it. Ive had friends go to a different event (rave/festival) every weekend, and each time their pill intake gradually increased because if they just took a 1/4 (the recommended for beginners) they “didn’t feel it”. I one time met someone who had to take 2 1/2 pills just to “feel it”. And they would redose with 2 throughout the night (redosing is not uncommon for long events 8+ hrs). One pill usually lasts 3-6hrs, meaning that person had about 4-6 pills in one day. Not to mention ecstasy really f’s up ur brain. Because it messes with ur serotonin levels, the days following you are just in a really depressed and almost lifeless state. And if your usage is prolonged it can be long-term effects.
I tried molly, shrooms, acid, and weed. Out of all of them I preferred molly because I have alot of social anxiety and I made me come out my shell with it socializing with everyone even strangers, but then the next day everything goes back to normal unfortunately. I say my side effects was just staying in bed all day the next day not wanting to move while I heard some others usually get depressed. Also didn’t have an appetite cause my mouth would be dry to eat anything so I would go a day and a half without food just water. Not only that it’s so hard to pee. Like you know you have to go and then you sit on the toilet for 10 mins and nothing comes out then you go back 2-3 time and finally something comes out it was frustrating.
Marijuana is alright as long as you wait until your brain is fully developed before you start smoking it. But you know we all start smoking it when we're in highschool. Marijuana is better than alcohol in many ways although smoking it all day, everyday is still not a good idea
I started smoking weed in high school, I smoked for 10 years, I must have spent over £100,000 over those years. When I didnt have the cash as a college student my dealer would accept sexual favours in return. Which led to me selling myself for money when I realised how easy it was to earn the money weed is good at the time, but it can lead to many nasty things, including moving onto different drugs. Now I use oxycodone and alcohol to cope.
@3TREY87 I wasn't physically addicted, more mentally, there were only two times that I got laced with weed, one time with ketamine which wasnt so bad, only bad thing was the drooling and drowsiness and one time with a very high dose of lsd those were both in edibles I was only told was thc, but they lied, the hallucinations the second time were bad i thought i was dying and had psychosis, I had convinced myself I had turned into a sheep it was really terrifying and it seemed to last forever. I got so bad with weed, first thing I did when I woke up was smoke, I needed so much as my tolerance was so high, I became dependant on it just to function and feel something, I was smoking at least £80 worth a day, which I agree was expensive but in my area at the time it wasn't easy to get hold of so I had to do what I had to do to get it. Mkat was also popular back then in my area and more available but I only did that around 10 times as I wasn't a big fan and it didn't last as long as one would hope.
Interesting content! I think you can form a habit with weed, but to get physical withdrawals, that's something for the hardcore drugs like Meth and Opioids. I wouldn't classify LSD as an "addictive" substance because you can only do it so many times until you realize you've fried your brain hallucinating for 9hrs 3 or 4 times. Of course there are always rare cases and people predispoed to underlying mental health issues. But if you're relatively normal and in control, pretty harmless.
I am smoking weed as I watch you guys' videos of all the drugs name I think marijuana is the most manageable but also has the most benefits as well because it is a natural plant there's more positive than negatives
My mom was hit by a car and run over by a truck walking high and drunk on the freeway. She was in Acoma for 8 days, and still had people bring her alcohol in the hospital. She didn’t get sober till I think 2 -4 years after that happened to her
I dont think every drug is bad but once you get addicted to one it will lead to a path of more and more drugs and then to the really bad ones like Heroin and Meth
So I used drugs from the time I was 15 until now when I'm 24 years old my drug of choice when I was addicted for those years was snorting heroin and now that I'm clean I'm SCREAMING TO THE HIGH HEAVENS DO NOT DO DRUGS I DID BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS ALSO AND IT RULED MY LIFE FOR ALL THOSE YEARS I MISSED OUT ON BEING A TEENAGER AND GREW UP VERY FAST BECAUSE OF THAT AND NOW THAT IM 24 YEARS OLD AND ALMOST 7 MONTHS CLEAN I WANT TO DO EVERYTHING I MISSED OUT ON BUT DONT LIVE YOUR LIFE STUCK IN A DRUG INDUCED SHELL LIKE ME ITS SO MUCH BETTER TO BE FREE OF THAT PAIN AND BURDEN AND YES I CHOSE TO DO IT AND I WAS ONLY STUCK ON IT FOR SO LONG BECAUSE I WAS TERRIFIED OF THE WITHDRAWAL PAINS AND EVERY OTHER SYMPTOMS BUT EVEN THOUGH I DID IT TO MYSELF AND SUFFERED ALONG THE WAY ALL ALONE ALL IT TOOK WAS ONE PERSON WHO BELIEVED IN ME THAT I COULD GET CLEAN TO PUSH ME TO DO IT AND I ALSO LOST ALOT OF CLOSE FRIENDS TO IT WHICH ALSO GAVE ME MY FULL STRENGTH TO STOP ALL DRUG ADDICTS ARE LOOKING FOR IS TO NOT FEEL THE PAIN OF LIFE AND TO NOT FEEL THE PAIN OF SOMEONE THEY LOVE HATING THEM OR DYING ON THEM SO YES DRUG ADDICTION IS A DISEASE AND THATS COMING FROM ME A FORMER DRUG ADDICTED KEEP FIGHTING YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO YOUR MIND IS THE STRONGEST WEAPON WE HAVE SO REMEMBER THAT ALSO FOR ANYONE ELSE STILL STRUGGLING TO STAY CLEAN OR HAS BEEN CLEAN FOR YEARS JUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE WORTH IT AND YOU ARE LOVED AND YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT IN LIFE AND KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU FREED YOURSELF FROM THE SHACKLES YOU PUT ON YOURSELF SO STAY STRONG NEVER GO BACKWARDS AND ALWAYS KEEP GOING FORWARD KEEP FIGHTING ALWAYS
honestly weed is legal in my state and i smoke everyday while being able to function fully as an adult and a person ya know. i work, sleep, talk and live perfectly fine while being high:,) i don’t believe weed is a gateway drug tbh i believe if u feel like doing other drugs it was bound to happen regardless of if u start w weed or not due to your own curiosity yk. i have no interest in any other drug same w the people i know and my friends so there’s no need to try other drugs but if someone is already interested/curious abt mad drugs obviously weed can become a gateway drug if it’s how they start.
I've only had one acid trip and I smoke marijuana on occasion. Many people say that weed is a "gateway drug", but I'd beg to differ. The thing is, anything can start an addiction if your mental state is unstable. People who are dealing with any form of mental health issues may (or may not) try to medicate themselves in order to escape their emotions, and from that self meditation/escapism, grows dependents to the point where they cant live without the substance. Now, it isn't inherently a bad thing to take a drug every once and a while. Just depends on what your looking for in them. If you've been stressing out about life, then smoking pot here or there isn't going to kill you. Maybe it's your anniversary or a special occasion, and you want to take a tab with your partner/whomever and trip out to some office. All I'm trying to say is be careful of drugs, but not afraid of them. Kits are available online to test any substance for impurities. There are trip killers that help when your having a bad trip. They don't stop it, but dull it down a bit. Stay in a safe place that you are comfortable being in. Most importantly, monitor the amount you take, especially with psychedelics. It's better to start small before working your way up to a full dose.
Bro when i was like 15 or 16 our house is located at like the end of the apartment. Then i was aline that afternoon. My cousin,i knew for sure was an addict but controllable that time. He took out this small plastic container like super small two fingers only ft(usually where cocaine is put) then i saw him cleaning the insides of it, i even saw him light up a lighter. But i didnt saw any signs of white chemicals. I was unbelievably even helping him some ways to clean the plastic better lmao. When he went home thats just when i realised he was snorting drugs.
I would change the title to former or recovering drug addict. Language is powerful, don't set this man up for failure by still referring to him as an addict.
Of these I have done marijuana. It was fun, but nothing to write home about. I felt just super relaxed and mellow. Also about marijuana, they're still studying it. I have not heard about the schizophrenia thing, but I have read that, overall, it's not really a "gateway" drug, outside of "I did an illegal, let me do another." It actually has been shown to help with addiction in some cases. Alcohol is actually, statistically, a bigger gateway drug than marijuana. But he is very right, since it's illegal, you don't know where it's coming from. I've had friends who have had theirs laced with cocaine, LSD, and more. A theory was going around that DMX died because he smoked a joint laced with crack. Cocaine and X freak me out because people cut it with fentanyl now and that kills people. Now that I know the Molly contains meth as well (possibly) that's a no. I dunno what you mean by muscle relaxants, but if you mean benzos, they saved my life, but I took them for anxiety attacks (depending on some circumstances though, they got me high as a kite, but it was unintentional). I have taken some prescribed opioids and I would throw them out once I didn't need them anymore. I can see how they are so addictive. Pain I didn't know I had went away. But I also once lost my ability to pee. I won't do meth if I can help it. I have seen what it can do to people. I won't take LSD. My own brain already freaks me the fuck out. I don't need more of that. Or any hallucinogen. Then again, I have heard they help with mental illness so maybe I'd consider them under a doctor's care. But LSD lasts for a LONG time. Like HOURS. I don't need that in my life.
I'm a pharmacy technician, but I do partake in certain drugs such as marijuana since it helps me with my insomnia and psilocybin for depression. Don't worry, I'm not dependent on them nor do I use them as a gateway to try more drugs. In fact, I'm trying to wean off of weed since shrooms are now legal in my area and they don't make me feel sluggish. This career path made me quite educational about drugs and honestly opioids you get in the pharmacy are way more dangerous than pure weed and shrooms. There are drugs I will completely draw the line on thanks to it.
My weed pen is 88% indica and its a 1G cartridge. I do have to say that if you are a very depressed, very stressed or anxious person you would get addicted to weed, just because it makes you feel happier, relaxed and enjoy simple things. But if you have a good strong mindset you wouldn't develop an addiction, as long as you undertsand that you only use it for a limited use for one night and it's only to relax but not to mask your internal emotional pain and problems. Also your age has a hige factor to play with it, the younger the age the more damage and higer chance of addiction you will have because your brain is still maturing, I started smoking weed at 22 years old so past the point of brain maturationa and also just general maturation as well. I don't smoke it every night, and I could go days, months, and even maybe a year without using it, but this is because I have a strong understanding of the limits, of the drug, and separarying the drug with any internal conflict.
I actually wrote a thesis on this. Comorbid drug use relating to mental health issues is real and a lot of individuals start using to self treat/cope. I too at one point became addicted to smoking weed during my deepest depression. I sold lots of my personal items to obtain money to maintain my habit. After going to rehab (yes, I got sent to rehab for weed LOL) I learned how to identify issues that triggered me into wanting to use and learned how to cope. However, I will say that I do still use marijuana but I am now a medical patient who has been using it moderately to treat anxiety and the very same depression I struggled with. Now that I have the skills to maintain balance within my life, I look t marijuana the same way I do any medication I was on previously. I smoke once in the morning (for anxiety/depression/apetite) and once in the evening (for insomnia/depression). There are times where bad things happen and I become overwhelmed to the point where coping skills no longer work, and at that point I will smoke, however, I no longer have the urge to smoke in the way I used to. Personally, when I was self medicating too often with weed, I would go through on ounce in 3 days, now an ounce lasts me almost an entire month and at worst half a month. I also have used LSD/mushrooms in my past but I never had an issue with either of those. I always look at and treated it with respect. I never went out looking for it but instead would allow it to come to me, and when I would partake, I would try to look inward at issues I was struggling with and problem solve them. To me those last two substances were tools to help aid my progression in dealing with my depression and anxiety. It was actually after a dose of LSD that I came to terms with why I have social anxiety and ever since then, I have been able to do so much more socially after implementing what I learned while under the influence. I also want to point out that all the substances I ever used (which is limited to hallucinogens such as marijuana, LSD, and mushrooms) I have done extensive research on before partaking in it. Also, I never felt the need to move onto other substances either, even when I was under the influence and was offered it for free, I never said yes.
The last sentence he said wasn't translated properly. He said, "In regards to experiencing a drug, trying it once is excessive, and trying it a thousand times can be insufficient".
Thank you!
This explains addiction perfectly.
Once is too many and a thousand never enough
that is such a well put sentence
It's a saying in AA & NA: "One [drink] is too many and a thousand not enough." Alcoholics & addicts suffer from "an obsession of the mind" and "the phenomenon of craving." Once that obsession takes control, a single sip/hit/dose/puff/etc. sets off that craving for more and more and more... Much like other illnesses or diseases, alcoholism & addiction are chronic, progressive, and--if untreated--fatal. Unlike other illnesses or diseases, such progression usually lead to "jails, institutions, and death."
They way he layed out the good feelings THEN talked about the side effects was brillant wish i knew him in my younger years
If that’s how peer pressure work, leaving it all of the negatives, then that really is tempting. People should judge less.
12 days sober!

i didn’t even know that in korea people really had access to these types of things, but you know what they say if there’s a will there’s a way.
They are quite common in poor neighborhoods
Since most people know Korea because of music or dramas they think is a great place where people don't do drugs or that they don't have poor neighborhoods where drugs, robberies, prostitution and murders are common
Even when some artists (mostly khiphop) talk about that a lot of people make fun of them saying that "they don't know" because they live in a "peaceful country", Denying all the experience and suffering they went through
Korea isn't heaven. Every country has this. And in big quantities as well.
Yeah..being friends with all Koreans there’s a super shady side to it.
OSSC's contents are always great. Sometimes funny, sometimes educational. Love the varieties in content.
The worst drug in Korea is the alcohol
It’s the worst everywhere- including America alcohol is a very deadly drug- it killed both of my grandparents
Yup alcohol wrecks more lives than all of the above.
the fact that a lot of us asians get red in the face and are at risk of an allergic reaction or even esophageal cancer is a whole other story as well
NOT ONLY IN KOREA!!!!!
Yep, that's why legal commercialization for marijuana is always safer because the product is actually controlled and dosed
Thank you for sharing! I’m glad to hear you’re doing fine
Proud of you bestie!! ❤️❤️
(Also I just want to reference that yes, IF you buy from a street drug dealer then duh it won’t be safe, but if you get it from a LICENSED dispenser where they grow their weed and it’s regulated then you will be safe, I thought that was like a duh thing, but I guess not)
@@yukijames1321 yeah lets not act like thats an epidemic

Yeah, I think what he was saying is that those crazy high concentration vape juices are a problem but just regular marijuana at 15-20% is ok. Which I agree with tbh, I don't think consuming that concentration of any chemical is a good idea lol
LIke he said the problem is that It's illegal expect for super rare medical cases.
Lol it’s not safe and lots of people mix stuff in them
I'm disappointed they didn't bring up alcohol as part of this. It's legal, but its effects are much worse than many of the drugs talked about here.
In excessive amounts sure
@@jasonnash4452 Alcoholism happens more than people think because it's legal. In actuality, the side effects are worse than many of the drugs stated in the video, so it begs the question of what, why, and how much each substance should be regulated.

It's never worth it people you're not above the drug you can think you won't get addicted all you want but you can and will, if you're struggling as well I'm more than happy to message you and be your support if you don't have any.
how were you able to get so many drugs anyway? isn't drugs expensive?
@@cheehee depending on who you go to and what you're getting it's expensive yes. If the dealer thinks you're cute and is trying to sleep with you that's how I normally get good discounts (no I never did sleep with them just led them on and flirted to get the deals) or if I was really lucky and the dealer is really skeevy they just gave me and my friends the drugs for free in hopes we would sleep with them or something, that doesn't mean it's the best quality drugs tho sometimes the freebies would be pressed(fake) and would be mixed with fent or m3th probably to get us hooked so we'd come back. Not to mention having addict friends they'd normally share their supply with me if I was out and I'd do the same for them. Sometimes I would even have guys who didn't use buy things for me because they liked me and I could take advantage of that. Or if I dated another addict they'd usually just buy for me and give me their drugs to share because I was their girlfriend. I really didn't have to spend much money I just had to use others or flirt

I had a friend who use to smoke meth and she did tell me she started it out of curiosity. Someone she was dating was a dealer and she noticed how fun and focused they all seemed to be, so she tried it. After it wore off tho, she said all she wanted was that feeling again. it’s interesting to see how stigmatized weed is when i met a lot of people born and raised in korea who frequently smoke it. i never did bc i was scared to be deported but i think it’s way more common than is let on
I still stand by weed legalization over opiods being given out for pain.
Fully agree opiods are devastating
Yes, weed should be legal and can help some people with their pain. However opiods have a true real value for people with severe chronic pain that thc or cbd can't touch.
@@user-vu2yb1gy4l yea it’s not all black and white. I agree with you

If we were to start handing our weed instead of opiates to severe pain patients then we NEED no MUST start at the beginning of where our unhealthy bodies began, so better diets ect BEFORE changing over to weed perma . and saying that....is gonna be impossible because as we know the govnmnt profits off of unhealthy ppl and pain so 🙄 Here's to Hoping! 💃🖖.

But with this guy I just took Molly because it made me not care about things, like I didn't have social anxiety when I took it. I had a friend who smoked weed all day long and I tried it maybe 5 times but every time I tried it I just felt anxious. So I don't think drugs work very well on me.

MDMA helps with anxiety. Molly are usually laced with other substances that gives you more energy in a party environment. As for weed. a little bit can help you relax. too much of it can cause paranoia. Unfortunately everyone will have different experiences with different drugs, so you never really know how your body with respond to each. other peoples experiences can only be used as a guide.

Glad to see someone thinking logically

Digging out of addiction after more than two decades is incredible, good on you man!!
Right! I remember learning about drugs in my 8th grade health class!
Even still people don't really know too much about drugs in the states
They hear cocaine and molly think you're as bad as a heroin or meth addict
@@koraegi idk, I wouldn’t consider any of the people who suffer with addiction as bad. They just have their demons like everyone else. I asked one person what if it was their son, daughter, or someone they are close to. They changed their mind quickly. They were accurate for him, and he DOES have first-hand experience with several drugs so he should know better than us.
@@Joe_Okey : one's experience with drug usage while being true, should not be given as a scientific facts because it doesn't represent a common experience. People change when they got addicted to drugs. I knew someone who got addicted and honestly it was painful to see these changes happens this way. It still hurts me now although we never see each other again. I wanted to help but in the end I got hurt badly. I guess I'm not strong enough to help, so I chose to save myself. Whenever I thought about that person, my tears run down. Even today. I could only pray for him to be saved, I pray for him to somehow find a way to get out of that life and win this battle.
But not gonna lie, I never wish to see him ever again. Am I a bad person?
@@rexgeorgerodriguez7620 lol kiddo ain't no adult proud of using 😂😂 . I appreciate that you deal with difficult and contraversial topics. Keep up the good work
this was perfectly executed... educational but also, by the end you realize that when you only hear the good things or attraction of drugs, you're curious enough to think "before i die, i might try it..." which, tho by the end that curiosity gets snuffed out by the information and anecdotes, you have empathy for those who get caught in addictions thru curiosity and bad influences. having former drug addicts speak to people is so important- drugs should be talked about openly to satisfy curiosity with info about consequences. but criminalizing and stereotyping addicts will never be the right path that gets at the root of the problem. anyone, no matter who, could become addicted. we all make mistakes, it's natural to be curious and experiment, especially when you're young. if we relate more to addicts, even realizing that with just a few different circumstances you might've gotten caught up in a drug... i think we would become more pro-active about drugs in communities, be more understanding and supportive of recovery, no matter what country or community, if we based our education on empathy such as this gentleman.
Maybe a better and clearer title would be "Former drug addict introduces drugs he's taken"?
Love the video, super interesting!
and injecting is actually slightly faster than snorting. snorting kicks in fast because we have mucus membranes in our nose, which takes the drug into the bloodstream. injecting is putting the drug RIGHT into the bloodstream
False : snorting hits faster because of the nerves that are directly linked to the brain and provoke the effects of the drugs. If you inject the drug, the molecules will need to pass the bbb (blood-brain barrier) in order to hit the appropriate receptors and make you feel the effects.

Meth is not funny- heroin is not funny
A little weed and occasional mushroom should not be lumped together
This is where the culture difference lies. As an Asian, we never learned about drugs at school (idk in other countries but even in my country, we don’t get good sex ed). I think it’s because the Asian culture has a way of thinking that knowing nothing is better, thus, we may seem “ignorant” like how you deem us but it’s just because we’ve never been enlightened unless we do an independent research.
@@flipclip1191 I fully understand what you are saying. The USA is hardly United in its educational system- the South states continue to keep their kids stupid and violent- the rest of us have educated children who are educated and violence is human....I’d rather be on the intelligent team.

like it is understandable that a school will not want the students to be doing drugs, of course. but drug testing students invades your privacy rights, it does not stop people from doing drugs, and it does not address the causes of drug abuse. it is better for school officials to focus on education and outreach than privacy violations and punishment.
my first comment didn't post maybe cuz it had a l I n k in it but, anyway, this might be a violation of your Constitutional rights if you're in the USA! it is not legal in every state to do drug tests on students and they need probable cause for specific targeted testing and stuff.

Mkat was also popular back then in my area and more available but I only did that around 10 times as I wasn't a big fan and it didn't last as long as one would hope.
some of the information is inaccurate. while lots of molly is cut with meth/caffeine/other drugs, real molly is from MDMA

But if you're relatively normal and in control, pretty harmless.

honestly weed is legal in my state and i smoke everyday while being able to function fully as an adult and a person ya know. i work, sleep, talk and live perfectly fine while being high:,) i don’t believe weed is a gateway drug tbh i believe if u feel like doing other drugs it was bound to happen regardless of if u start w weed or not due to your own curiosity yk. i have no interest in any other drug same w the people i know and my friends so there’s no need to try other drugs but if someone is already interested/curious abt mad drugs obviously weed can become a gateway drug if it’s how they start.

When he said from the brothers in the neighborhood the ladies thought he was referring to black guys, Hollywood is doin us dirty
I really hope that guy is doing good and I wish him all the best in life.👍🙏👍
I would change the title to former or recovering drug addict. Language is powerful, don't set this man up for failure by still referring to him as an addict.
In the U.S. there is a term called Suicide Tuesdays because after partying with ecstasy on the weekend, the depression crash comes.
Excellent program 👍🏼🇦🇺
They seemed like they wanted to try everything at first lmao
"Exu-Tashy" 🤣
Like HOURS. I don't need that in my life.
i can’t even imagine how much laced weed there is over in korea because of the lack of regulations on drugs
This is very informative for everyone.
There are drugs I will completely draw the line on thanks to it.
what area are you in that became legal for shrooms?
