I just finished watching your garden update and enjoying it very much! It’s my first time to see the front yard. You have lots of beautiful perennials and roses Linda and I like how you arranged the plants and decorations. The sound of the water feature is quite relaxing. Your Clematis and Dahlias are adorable, they add colours and beauty too. We have very bright sun now here but at night it cools down a bit! A lovely day to you!🌹🥂

@rosegardengems Hi Gemma, thank you so much for your lovely comments and for watching, it's much appreciated ! I hope you are well. We have had rain here for two days so not had much chance for time in my garden, I hope you are enjoying your lovely roses and beautiful garden, I can't believe we are almost in September already. Take care and thanks again for watching. 🌹🏵 I've just noticed you have posted a new tour, I am going to grab a coffee and watch it now x

Wow ❤ really love your garden transformation especially the newly installed roses arches. I’m really scratching my head and thinking how on earth do you keep everything so tidy with gazillions plants. Now you’ve really tempted me to look again at “crazy in love “. Mine 2 zephrine has been thrown to a part of my garden where it’s had zero attention. Watching your videos really gives an insight to some interesting plants . Thank you for sharing Linda 😊

Hi Ken, I've probably over stuffed my garden this year to be honest, I think I bought too many seeds in the winter time longing for the warmer days and then oops no room left come the summer haha ! Crazy In Love is definitely worth a look, it's healthy I don't have any issues with it, it blooms repeatedly and has like I mentioned a lovely intoxicating perfume, well it is to me I really do love it, one of my favourites for sure. Hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy your beautiful garden, take care.

What a lovely surprise to see that you'd done a new tour of your beautiful garden Linda. You still have lots of colour and I bet you're glad that you've got things where you want them after having the builders in. Clematis seems to do really well in your garden. Mine have been the best they've ever been this year and I'm not sure if they're just a bit slow to get going for the first couple of years or whether they've liked the weather we've had. I bought a new one "Bill Mackenzie" when we were on holiday in Shropshire a few weeks ago as Dobbies garden centre was a ten minutes drive from our cottage so there was no way that I was missing out on a visit there! Car was pretty full coming home as I also had the four David Austin roses that I bought in Albrighton. Pleased to tell you that the Persian rose seeds that you kindly gave me have grown into super little plants and have been potted on. I managed to get the back grass cut this morning and timed it well as it's been raining all afternoon and now the wind has picked up. I've actually got some Sunflowers out which are so late this year. Been growing them for years but had so much difficulty in getting the seeds to germinate this year. Think I did three separate sowings before I got anything. Hope I've staked them well enough as their heads are swaying around with all this wind. Take care Linda and thanks for the tour. xxx

@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, Thank you so much for watching. I realised just as I was about to set off deadheading/weeding that it's been a while since I've done a look around video. The garden changes so much doesn't it? Clematis do take a while to get going you're right but maybe they've enjoyed the rain followed by the sun I don't know but Bill Mackenzie will be lovely it's a later flowerer so should give you great colour when others are over and I believe it's quite a strong vigorous grower too. I'm so happy the seeds have germinated, you will be able to collect many more seeds for next year now but if not don't worry I can send more. You had a great shopping spree for your garden while on holiday haha typical gardener buying plants on holiday ! I know your garden must be spectacular. One day we will persuade you to take a little video for us all :) The lawns were cut on Sunday here, thanks to my husband, all neat and tidy again. They desperately needed doing just had so much on lately some things had to wait. Your sunflowers will be amazing I'm sure, I know you said earlier that your neighbours appreciate them. Yes, we've had a breezy day here too and rain so not had much time in the garden. Hopefully we get a few breaks in the weather this week to enjoy our gardens, I hope your sunflowers hold up well for you, take care and thanks again for watching xxx

Hi Linda and as you said towards the end of the video, ',,,,,,,pretty good look around/update.'. Yes, a lovely look around and so much colour and so many healthy plants. You must get much more rain that we do down here in Kent as things look so green. All really dry here and things suffering. Some of the trees around here, not mine, are starting to loose their leaves now. Your Clematis look lovely as do the Phlox etc. etc. I shall be interested to see how your Maid of Kent progresses. Rumwood Nurseries/British Roses, about two miles up the road from me, was where it was bred so I know it quite well. All your roses look lovely and I shall be waiting to see your second flush with Ghislaine de Felegonde. Mine is budding up again and I did give it some water today because I think it is suffering as are the Hydrangeas. Your Himalayan Honeysuckle is looking good and so is mine and I'm sure the Blackbirds will be back to have a feast in due course. The young Collared Doves are doing nicely too up in the Mme. Alfred Carriere. As you say, the gloves are good value for money. I get mine off ebay but they might be a size or two bigger than yours. Thanks for the look around, I really enjoyed it. Cheers! P.

@peterhaymaker7562 Hi Peter, thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comments, yes I'm sure we have a lot more rainfall up here, we are very green still. You are blessed with sun also, I'm sure you get much more sunshine than us. Maid of Kent is doing well so far fingers crossed she's happy and I'm hoping she covers the arch in a couple of years time ! A drink for Ghislaine is a good idea if you are really dry, I know some say it's best to not water in ground plants and let their roots go down deep but some things just need a little help now and again don't they? Especially when we ask them to re bloom. I'm looking forward to seeing a video of the Collared Doves and your beautiful garden again soon. Re the gloves, my hands have been so much better this year because I wear gloves when I'm pruning/weeding etc it really has made a difference, my hands usually look terrible by mid summer haha full of scratches ! The weather here this week is breezy and a bit rainy some of your lovely Kent sunshine would be nice if you have any to spare :) Hope you're having a lovely week in your garden, take care.

Thanks for that lovely walk around your garden Linda. It has been a while since your last one, hasn't it? I always feel you show us so many different plants that your garden must be the size of a football pitch, but then you show us an overall view and it clearly isn't! It makes me feel like a dilettante when you show so many different plants - it's almost like walking around a garden centre with Carol Klein casually reeling off name after name! I don't know if my Lavatera is a Burgundy Wine, but it's grown huge, about 6 foot across in all directions, but like yours it flowers non-stop for much of the year. I didn't realize we had a Himalayan Honeysuckle in our front garden until I saw yours - my wife will no doubt be wanting to sample the berries now. Your gloves look pretty thornproof. I was trying to tie up my straggly climbers in pots on the decking (just in case we get enough sun to want to sit on the decking without getting torn to pieces) and now the backs of my hands look like they have chickenpox - perhaps I should have gone for the thornless Zephirine Drouhin.

Hi Nik, thanks so much for watching. You are no dilettante ! You have a wonderful garden full of interest and colour and you show us so many varieties and you are obviously a very good gardener as we all can see and appreciate. My garden isn't large but I probably have crammed as much in as I dare to haha I have stolen lawn here and there when my husband isn't looking ;) Lavatera is a really good doer as you say, especially if you deadhead regularly. The gloves I was wearing in the video yesterday are great for roses they were cheap as chips, I bought a few pairs I wish I could remember where from now but it escapes me. I've had hands that look like I've been in a fight sometimes so I try to wear gloves when I'm doing the roses now and it does help. I can recommend the perfume of Zephrine Drouhin very beautiful and powerful, it tolerates some shade very well and like you say it's gardener friendly too :) Thanks again for watching it's much appreciated, hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend whatever you are doing, take care.

@@soulgirlktf On the theme of berries, on the internet this morning I discovered that Amelanchier berries are more commonly known as Juneberries and supposedly have more health benefits than Blueberries. I bought a bottle of Juneberry Gin Liqueur from Pershore a couple of years ago out of curiosity - if I'd known it got you tipsy while improving your health I'd have bought more! Unfortunately we haven't got room to plant an Amelanchier.

@@nikkonch Oh yes Amelanchier they are really lovely trees for a smaller garden, very pretty. I have heard them called Serviceberry also. Alan Titchmarsh used to do garden make over programmes and he was a fan of them, quite often he would include one. The Gin liqueur sounds lovely too !
