The guitarist, Kanghyun, wrote AuRoRa while particularly thinking on how an aurora just comes and goes as it pleases. It’s why it feels more tight and controlled in the verses and then really free and open in the chorus. You could say the song is almost about the beauty of things you can’t control.
Really recommend checking out more of their work! Because all of the members write music but have very different styles, they have a wide range of genres. “Q” is an R&B-style track featuring another artist at the same company (written by bassist/rapper, Cya), “A Book in Memory” is a dramatic rock ballad (Written by lead singer, Yonghoon), “End of Spring” is more pop/dance (Cya), and they very recently released an album with b-sides written by Keyboardist/Singer Dongmyeong (Trigger_) and drummer Harin(Envision_). Kanghyun, who wrote AuRoRa, has the “Space Series” of songs, which include “Regulus”, “Parting”, “COSMOS”, and “Orbit_”.

LOVE Onewe. They each compose the songs so the different personalities of the members are seen in the different sounds of their music.

May I remind you guys, that this is not even a title. I love all their songs and I assure you their b-sides are as much good as their a-sides. Not to mention their singles are just...masterpieces. I recommend "Star","Parting" and "Eraser" if you are new to ONEWE.

Aurora is about the Aurora Borealis. Primarily Composed and written by blue haired Guitarist, what is means, like any good song , is our own interpretation

Oh my I was watching you react to my no. 1 favorite band OOR and now you are reacting to Onewe one of my favs hehehehehe I'm happy. Onewe is amazing they have no bad songs, self formed and they compose and write their own music. In fact all of them already have credits for writing music.
And yeah, when I first discovered them Yonghoon definitely remind me of Taka with top notch vocals plus the way he delivers the feelings with his voice. They have a feeling of different but similar.

Had an awesome time watching you enjoy this song! Onewe makes really good music, though a lot of their songs are more on the softer, more ballad-y side of things.
If you want to check out more of their music, I'd definitely recommend Rain To Be, Parting, and Montage_!

"Band from Korea", "Chinese writing". I'm not trying to make fun of you or be mean, but I find it mind-boggling just how many times I've heard people acknowledge that an artist is Korean only to seconds later assume they're speaking / writing in Chinese or Japanese. Like, you would never hear someone say "This Italian artist" then say they're singing in Spanish lol
I enjoyed the reaction the though, no hate 😅

Haha I work for Chinese people in my real job, I'm used to seeing the writing similar to that, was purely a habit that I called it Chinese writing 😁😁
No hate taken, thanks for watching 🙂

Glad that someone turned you on to Onewe. Their label RBW has a great ear for talent but unfortunately they do a lousy job of promoting their artists and as a result Onewe is one of S Korea's best kept musical secrets despite having a fantastic discography with not a bad song in the bunch. Aurora was a b-side from the album they released last year. If you want to check out something newer and completely different try Universe, which is the main single from their most recent album. It's a power ballad that imo is one of the best songs released so far this year.
That was a rolling eyeball groaner of a brain fart when you introduced Onewe as a Korean band and then talked about the Chinese writing. Btw, the Korean alphabet and written language (hangul) is kinda fascinating even if you're not interested in learning the language. Hangul is similar to English in that it uses letters for each sound rather than a character to represent a complete word as in Chinese, but it has a big advantage over English in that it doesn't have a half dozen different ways to pronounce the same letter. Hangul is probably the most logical written language ever invented - even the shape of the letters was derived from the shape of the mouth and tongue when speaking the sounds.
Hope you check out more songs by Onewe!
