IDK if anyone has brought this up yet, but Kanghyun wrote this song because whenever Onewe would promote, it would rain (the title is literally "boy who brings the rain"), so it's kind of an inside joke that became a fire song. Also Cya, the bassist/rapper/composer had an intense phobia of water after almost drowning as a kid, so it took a lot for him to overcome his fears and shoot this video. But don't worry, no good equipment was harmed in the making of this video! (In the BTS video for it Dongmyeong explained that he was sacrificing his first old keytar for this vid, and everything else was old/broken equipment). Thanks for the reaction! Onewe always exceeds our (already very high) expectations :)
It's so good that they not only sing and rap but play their own instruments and write and their own songs. They don't have to dance because they have stage presence. Their brother group does the dancing. Some of this rain was real. It started raining on them while filming this. I love the behind the scenes video for this. It was great that Xion was a caring brother and brought them chicken and pizza at the end of the filming, because they were wet and freezing.
it's the build up of the song while the water rises for me as if they are sinking deep into what they were feeling. like, THAT'S WOAH. the contrast of this and veronica mv (pls check it out as well) are day and night
YES to everything y'all just said! There's a story behind the song and MV too lol it would always rain on them whenever they had a schedule, but instead of being mopey and sad by it, they turned it into a song and decided to embrace the rain :) I just think it's so beautiful
They used a lot of their old instruments that don't work anymore. But I'm like Bang Bang. I'd be like, can I have a life vest on underneath my outfit please?
