This whole car is fire. Tesla, Merc, BMW have the chance of a snow ball in hell. I won't even mention US made cars. the only way they will survive is with 100% tariffs and import restrictions. Too bad for American consumers. They are being "protected" from top quality EVs at affordable prices
👍 sick of European car makers charging ludicrous prices and making 90% profit margin on their cars. How is it that a Porsche 911 is priced at $200K when the car probably costs them the same as a Camry to make. The days of living off their legacy is over. Ferrari, Lamborghini are you listening
So was there any difference in how it drives and handle comparing to the gt? Because this seems like a better value proposition with more features especially in the back seats
crab mode is just for crossing in traffic jam from one line to another in small space. So without the rear part of the car in the cross line section overhang. Just me thinking about it...
Sergey, Poland having cheaper salary means nothing. Making a car is a very difficulty process, you need skilled workers, lots of them, and more importantly, you need a matured supply chain, where you can get any parts you need quickly, cheaply and with good quality. Poland might have lower salaries now, but does Poland have abundant supply of skilled workers that are ready to work in EV factories? Does Poland have a matured supply chain for EVs? On top of that, does Poland have affordable energy cost like China?
Car companies are still getting it wrong. It's not how much technology you can pile on into a car. A car is meant to do a simple thing get you your family and your stuff to where you want to go safely with comfort efficiency and affordability. Most of the world is looking for just that car a capable car not a technological marvel or a spaceship. Understand that and the future looks bright for the auto industry.
There's plenty of option in the simple, Safety, Comfort, Efficiency yet affordability category. Models like the Geely E5, Li Auto L6 or the BYD Sealion 05. The most important thing is, We got options.
Great car, a lot of quality and tech, but the design is the missing point, it looks so old inside and out, like a 90's car. Very bad, this is unfortunate, otherwise it is so great. It is strange that BYD took this path, because Avatr, Zeekr, Stelato, Nio, among others, have so great designs.
make sure to add a switch that can turn it off, cause I don't want to see digital letters on my front view forever and all times. don't add HUD its useless and annoying, if you do, make sure it can be switched off.
i tested those cars, they need more real button and knobs, I give this car because I've been driving for more than 10yrs, those touch screen controls are stupid design and voice control also not as quick as buttons and knobs, this is purely a cut-cost design not convenient and not safe,
@ actually i heard those car makers are considering to swift back, like geely just released galaxy starship 7 with really button and knobs for interior design

EV is all about battery technology and we all know Chinese are way ahead on it. Induction motors are pretty cheap. It's nothing complicated as over engineered German ICE. No wonder the largest European automaker VW is laying off workers.

nice, but I dislike your exaggeration. if anyway available in Europe, the car would cost for sure a bit more. journals say around 60-70.000,- €. But the German competition does not cost 300.000,- € or $!.....but unfortunately more than 100.000,-. ...........I would not even spend 50.000,- € fur such a no name Chinese car. Maybe 3 years later you will not get a new spare part anymore and mainly the decrease on value for Chinese cars are enormous. After 3 years you will get almost nothing anymore.
Cool but I'm in China and still not convinced by BYD's reliability. Many Chinese like the brand but many also don't, If you know what I mean. I'd give Chinese car makers 10 more years. When I can see a 10 year long-term review of this car, I might be interested. Now, no way. 🫠
