Amazing result, thanks for sharing! I would like to kindly ask whether it is a project one can tackle not having a workshop with a lot of power tools, we have just very basic ones. Would also like to ask whether the Havsta units are robust (especially the shelves) and don't buckle under the weight of books. Thanks

Hi! So the biggest issue we have when installing these pieces is the slope on our ceilings! That adds a different layer of complication but if you have the height without that then it becomes very straight forward. You don’t have to add the back board either which would eliminate a step 😊 The Havsta bottom cabinets are robust for sure and hold all our books, toys etc inside the cabinets! Hope this helps, feel free to shoot me a message with any specific questions I can help you with! Thanks

Are the top open shelves also the Havsta? Or are they Billy or something else? Tia!!!

The open top shelves are Billy Bookcases and the bottom are the Havsta cabinets! 😊

A nice piece or dark wood spanning the length as a “counter” would have made this 10/10

That is totally a great option to do and something I may consider adding in time! Great suggestions! ☺️

when you painted the Havsta, did the primer and paint COVER that Wood grain look on the Havsta Cabinets? This way the finish across all the unit looks Uniform

@@IknowImNotCrazyYoumightbe yes! Everything was painted with the exact same primer and paint so everything was uniform looking straight across. No difference in them!
