- This is a science fiction short film that I spent more than two months making. I hope you all like it.

I think the replies aren't thinking about the loneliness and time. The average human would be dead before reaching the nearest habitable planet. I'm old,71yrs old, but if they could transfer my brain into a computer or robot without cognitive loss, I'd do it and live until I wanted to call it quits,while I explored the galaxy. If the earth was smart and we know we ain't, we would send out many ships with those robots along with self replicating bots that Terra form. Drop one off and let it make a new earth over a million or so years and move on to the next. All the time having frozen human embryos that would be "hatched" when needed, raised by human like bots, as in Raised By Wolves, and sent down on each Terra formed planet. Over a few hundred million years ,we could populate the galaxy.❤

Very well done. Music is also excellent, for ex. the sudden change when the robot had landed and looked at the mountain. Great cliff hanger, I’m looking forward to part 2.

Your music is perfect! You really captured the feel and the circumstances of the events.
The atmosphere of this short is wonderfully done. The space scenes, ship, and landscapes are also wonderful. It appears the life giving planet the robot was looking for wasn't that planet. It looked like that planet was also dead.

Looks like a bounty hunter when he got out to take a closer look at the red orb that shot a beam of light out from itself.
I expected the robot will find a virgin planet, like Earth billion years ago, and will become the "Ancient Alien" :) But the planet seems busy already, with some dark history.
This idea is great! I like it!
Good news! This is a very well made program. Better news! The Earth is not dying. Not even a little. Only common sense is going extinct.
The earth may not be dying but its atmosphere sure is.
The earth itself will not die. No matter what it becomes, it will still be there. The future of mankind may not be as long as the time of the dinosaurs.

@@chrisleefilm- I respectfully disagree. So called "global warming" is 100% politics designed to make the sheeple lose all hope so that they can be easily manipulated. I grew up in the 60s and 70s when pollution was so bad you could no see your hand in front of your face. The EPA was founded. It did its job fantastically. So good, they rendered themselves irrelevant. I am telling you from 60 years of direct observation, with my own lying eyes, the environment has gotten far better than ever. These government agencies have become fat on the money stolen from you and me, and they don't want to give it up. Lying about the environment has become a many trillion dollar a year industry.
The future of mankind is golden. The human race will colonize the galaxy. 99.999% of human history has yet to occur, and when it does, it will occur "out there". (I am pointing straight up at space)
Ask yourself this, "Why would I reject such a positive and uplifting message of hope?". SUE your teachers for crimes against humanity. AND keep making great films! Try a positive message in the next one. Start a trend.

Haha, the fact the robot states that it’s devoid of emotion and then immediately contradicts that by saying and doing things that are very human-like

I understand for plot sake a humanoid robot is necessary for a sympathetic character. But, really, I would think a programmed ship itself and exploratory drones activated when necessary would be the way to go. Machines don't need toys just algorithms.
You know, a story would really improve this piece. That, and a point to it all.

The crashed ship on the planet looks remarkably like a Thargoid scout from Elite Dangerous 😂

I believe that the 'wink' expression on the mini robot's face is that he's flirting with the big robot. It's lonely out in space.🤖💄👄🏳🌈

I saw a piece of news from NASA before, saying that they discovered an Earth-like planet about 25 light years away.

Nicely done. It's hard to believe this is a game engine.
One thing that always bothers me about stories like this is human nature. "We've made our world uninhabitable. Let's move to another world and repeat the process!".
Wherever there are people, there will be conflicts of interest. I still hope that the future of mankind will be bright.🙂

If the robot has no emotion, how does it know that the Earth is beautiful in his documentaries?
The robot learned from people that the earth used to be beautiful. This film was actually originally intended to tell the story of the emergence of the robot's self-awareness, but some changes were made later.

Thanks for watching! Because this type of short film takes a lot of time, and of course that shouldn't be an excuse, I need to learn how to tell stories better.

On a strange planet, anything can happen. Weapons are to prevent threats from other creatures.
