    Radio is a + for the weather channel.Thanks for sharing 👍🏾

    • @FinesseTheChallenger
      @FinesseTheChallenger  7 месяцев назад +1

      With the advancements in cellphone technology and other alert systems if there is any adverse weather as long as your phone is connected to your motorcycle the alerts will come though the speakers. However, if you live in tornado alley or an area subject to adverse weather, I could see how the radio would be beneficial and, in that case, I would like the antenna to be a bit more stylish than a traditional "whip" style... just to make it fit the overall theme of the bike. Again, not a deal breaker but just a nit picking type of thing. Thanks for checking out the video!

    Thanks for the video Finesse! I recently bought my 2023 DH Pursuit Premium Pkg. I was riding and still ride a BMW K1600B. Some of the things I wish the Pursuit had that are standard on my Beemer are the integrated brakes and quick shifter. Doing my next visit to my dealer, I'm replacing the hand controls with the dark brake and clutch levers as well as backlit controls.

      Noice, I too thought about switching the controls but never got around to it. I am sure it will make the overall look of the bike come together. One day when I grow up I'll have multiple bikes, right now Mrs. Finesse has two and I only have one LOL.

      Exactly. I’m really hoping that one day you could and that they will take the riders concerns seriously. Overall great bike. The best one that I had thus far but that wheel wobble and tour pack is a no no. I must admit that there are more pros than cons but the cons can definitely be corrected. Hopefully, they will see this video and make the proper corrections with all the dislikes that you’ve mentioned and in which I agree with. :)@@FinesseTheChallenger

    Great video and I agree with all of the improvements! Specifically the Clutch and brake levers!!!! I’ll share with other Challenger / Pursuit riders, I worked with Bob Cole (see FB and the Groups) - he cut my levers back a bit and powdered them gloss black. Love the look, no danger to clutch operation. The next thing is break the code on the ECM! So much more this engine gives….and lastly, great job on improving the audio, horrible job on the cost, and amount of separate orders you have to finish the project. It should not be that confusing to add to the lower fairing (even my dealer had trouble on quoting what exactly was needed!). The price difference to add aftermarket vs building is crazy. All that said… I love the bike!!!

    • @FinesseTheChallenger
      @FinesseTheChallenger  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks! The 2024 touring model lineup has now expanded to include audio packages that provide up to a 600 watt audio system expandable to 800 watts at a somewhat lower cost. I agree there was some confusion as to the complete components that I needed to add the lower fairing audio, I had to take a couple trips to my dealership. As far as the ECM, I too am interested as well to see what is going to happen (with references to the Lloyd's tunes etc...) with that with the advent of possible EPA changes coming.

    Tighter turns. I don't like heel shifters either. 6x9 saddle bag speakers

    • @FinesseTheChallenger
      @FinesseTheChallenger  7 месяцев назад

      Cue! Tighter turns would be ok as long as it didn't compromise the ride which IMO for a touring bike is more important. I also do not like heel shifters LOL and IDK bout 6X9 speakers because it would add weight to the lid when opening. I think they could add more sound or sound options without going "that big" on the saddlebag speakers. Then again you don't know what you don't know and I haven't heard a pair of 6X9's on an Indian Motorcycle it might sound great lol.

    Things I wish I could change on the Challenger-
    50lb weight reduction - fairing support, wheels, engine covers, swingarm are too heavy. replace metal fenders with carbon fiber
    hand control size & especially turn signals should mimic Harley. These controls are uncomfortably big and wear large size gloves. The plastic housings are horrible, cheap quality, fragile and expense. All 4 pieces cost ~ $900 just for the shells compared to Harley's aluminum ones at ~ $250.
    Turning radius - increase range of motion when going lock to lock

    • @FinesseTheChallenger
      @FinesseTheChallenger  6 месяцев назад

      Oh man, that’s a list. I know there are carbon fiber parts for the challenger for everything but the fuel tank. I agree I don’t care too much for the plastic housings on the controls as far as weight …compared to HD IMC is noticeably lighter on almost every model. I’ve taken these bikes apart and i can honestly say I have no idea where they could shave weight but I’m no engineer 🤣. Thanks for your comment 🤙🏿 I am really curious to see what’s coming for 2025!

    Good to see the breakdown, I'd be saving on the oil changes and other routine maintenance. I do all my vehicle's changes including my two bikes, myself. I just don't like the hassle of taking a vehicle in to do it when I can usually do it in 20 minutes or so and save money to boot.

      Absolutely, I have done an oil change on a motorcycle once and it is actually quite simple. However, since it was my first time doing it, I was in pure panic mode thinking about if I had done it properly (I did) but for peace of mind I still take mine to the dealership.

    I have a 2022 Pursuit Limited, Crimson and Maroon. It is my first touring bike as I've always ridden cruisers. I don't have a heel shifter, but I'm thinking about getting one but not through Indian, I've seen aftermarket brands that offer more room. The highway pegs from what I've seen from DMV Solorider would be too short for me. I went with the KST 4" pullback bars, and they're perfect for me. As far as the trunk liner and antenna, I totally agree. The liner fits horribly, and the first thing I did as I got ready to leave the dealership was to remove the antenna.
    Great video, and I do enjoy when an owner will give an opinion that isn't all roses and unicorns.

      I like those red and chrome Pursuit's those are some good-looking machines. I think IMC did a great job on the platform however, there is room for some minor improvements as with most things. Overall though it really is a solid platform and when using the bike for what it's actually made for (cruising) it is an excellent experience. Thanks for checking out the video DM.

    I have a 22 Pursuit DH premium (Spirit Blue Metallic). I am in the process of getting blacked out clutch and brake levers done. I have about 12,700 miles on my bike and still enjoy the seat, however they want a premium for the backrest and mounting (sold separately). I also just upgraded the headlight, have the Bryant M1 bag lights coming, and put the IMC mid rise bars on 2 weeks ago (still not sure I love them). My bike had the wobble issue at 40, due to cupping, switch the tire, and had issues with the motor cutting out (fixed under warranty, added 5 years to my warranty) The bike is smooth, and powerful. I absolutely love it.

    Nice review. I have the ‘23 Pursuit also. I have the front wheel issue at times. It will come and go based on tire pressure. When I’m 1 to 2 pounds over on front and back it’s stable at 40 mph. At or under, I get that decel wobble at 40 mph. Overall though, it’s a great ride. Honestly I think I only have 1 wish and that would be I’d like the option backrest to match my diamond stitch seat. JK, I appreciate you checking out the video, and I can see what you mean. However, all of those prices are variable depending on individual locations taxes, shipping, fees, etc... Also, at the end of the breakdown I estimated that it would be around $45K including oil changes, taxes, etc... As far as tires, I am still on the tires (after 1 year) that the motorcycle came with so there would be no cost associated, but I understand your position.

    I thought about the new 100 watts with the glow for my lowers, but my dealer said in order to put those on, I would have to have the 100 watt speakers in the upper fairing first. I'm not too sure about paying big bucks for speakers where my bike already has some.
