Great video. Thanks so much. I was pressed to repair one of my cycling shoes so I sourced the wire from a fishing supply store. I found leader wire 1x7 stainless steel, coated, 20 lb. test. I believe that anything in the range of .021 to .028 diameter will work fine. I bought a ten meter roll for $3.00. The original wire was 26” long. You might be able to buy an individual leader for even less than $3. HTH.
Thank You, I was going to buy a new pair of shoes until I watched your video. Your video is better than the instructions that came with the replacement dials,
Thanks for this video. Thought I was screwed when the cable broke on my cycling shoes. Very well explained and videoed...fixed my shoes! Great accent BTW!
Peferct! My boa didnt get loose again. So i opend it, with the right hex key. there where some knots. I shortend the rope, used your knot. And thats it😊 thanks a lot
Thank you very much for this video. I fixed my first broken Boa cycling shoes. My shoes was the right and it worked out perfectly, The video was very informative.
i believe the way you thread the cable, or how you make the knot, is not relevant at all. Basically, all it needs is the two ends of the cable tied to both sides of the dial so that the cable can be pulled in when spinning the dial.
use glue each time... or packing tape... or tie your shoe to the pedal with a rope... or melt the pedal with your bone... you could try to intimidate the pedal into not moving.. ... or you can use a Boa lacing. Whatever suits you.

A nice touch on the wire spool is that there is a white dot next to the first wire insertion hole.
Thanks for the video.

Thanks heaps. My fabulous Treksta can live again. But where do I get the wire? What is it called?
I've got one question my left boot doesn't tight is my boa broken also it doesn't make the "crack" sounds
Can I just change the dial without changing the wire ?
where did you guys get different coloured parts for the outside of the dial? I can't seem to find any only black or white
It's probably best to get in touch with BOA directly to see what they can do for you (:
I've tore up the wire on terra x5. Where can I buy the wire?
I love Mr. Luke!
Hi Jack's mum!

any fishing cable or nylon string should do the trick.

very useful
You people who call any old set of instructions a "hack" are total hacks.
+t00thygr1n That's kind of the point.
Like zoinks scoob.
just use velcros.
Vaios M Or normal laces for that matter
use glue each time...
or packing tape...
or tie your shoe to the pedal with a rope...
or melt the pedal with your bone...
you could try to intimidate the pedal into not moving..
...
or you can use a Boa lacing.
Whatever suits you.
