STUCK BOA LACES - AWESOME VIDEO!! I was able to use an eye glass screwdriver to unscrew the dial and remove the spool. I discovered the wire was twisted and bunched up inside. I was able to undo the know on one side, trim the wire, and reinsert. Fortunately, I had ample thread left for the shoe to loosen and slip my foot WIDE foot in and tighten. GREAT FIX.
Hello. Thank you so much for this video! This is my second pair of protective shoes. The first one was worned down due to using them pretty much all the time. This second pair, yesterday got tangled in an impossible way and after trying for more than hour without result, I found this video and I accidently had an Torx T6 screwdriver and with it I could disassembly the wheel and sort out the tangle issue.
What happens when the dial is pressed in, and you can still loosen the lacing by tugging up on the tongue of the shoe? I have the Pearl Izumi PRO Leader road bike shoes, and BOA supplied me with the IP1 Mirrored + CS1 replacement kit under warranty. I'm following the instructions, and the dial will not lock securely. I nearly pulled my foot right out of the shoe during a sprint the other day.
Hello my skates on my right foot don’t come unloose when I pop it I have to yank it really hard sometimes..... but I think replacing the whole thing might help
Amazing. I just bough my new bowling shoes 9ht boa and I freaking love them. I dont think I have to do this . But it's nice to know it could be fix if necessary. Even tho its life time guaranty
Have you had success replacing the laces on a Puma disc system? I suppose is uses the same system as a Boa? Tho I cannot find a key hole to unlock the spool housing..
Comprar el cable en una tienda de artículos de pesca esto y un destornillador torx 6 , aunque puede cambiar !! Es más económico y tenéis cable para más recambios!! Las imágenes son muy buenas y con detalle!!! Saludos!!
hello I'm from Chile and I have a problem with my sneakers north face boa system, when I want them to place are tightened, where I find repair parts such as video chile.
I hate this Rube Goldberg system. Puts the repair labor on the purchaser. Not to mention that it takes a long time to actually successfully complete the repair. Buckles are more adjustable and easier to fix. A REALLY CRAPPY PRODUCT THAT YOU CANT AVOID. 😢
You do know most shoe stores that carry these shoes will fix them in store at no charge right??? I've never had one need replacement but when buying I ask.
@@socalpunk05 NO bike shop will repair or replace these. It’s up to you to order the right Boa and instal it. I have replaced 3 of these and all them took well over an Hour. Not to mention spending an hour trying to replace the wrong Boa they sent me.
