Are there more episodes to this? I have no idea what's going on. Why did the bank manager not care about his wife and daughter being kidnapped? So many loose ends.

Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
