- A creative duo with two small children, the Hurd’s are drowning in chaos, clutter and relentless responsibilities. Like a giant disorganized playpen, every room in their home has become a repository for assorted junk. The kitchen is a disaster, they eat on the couch among the diapers and wet wipes, and no one is willing to clean it all up. That’s where domestic diplomats - Kim Woodburn and Mike Chalut - come in. Determined to clean up the mess, they vow to get the couple to grow up and take their household chores seriously. Eric and Jessica say they’re desperate for order… But are they truly willing to change their ways?

Both & their daughter is such a gorgeous little girl. Shes more mature then her father. She just gets stuck in there & helps any way she can. What a sweetheart.💕
What a well spoken 3 year old, I'm not around babies or young ones maybe that's how they are these days, but she sounded so mature I can't believe it.
I believe this is an old episode but she's smart and well spoken for her age
@@yukisuperstylish Yes it maybe an old episode however, I've not had children. I'm 57 yrs and have a nephew now nearing 40 yrs old, so I can't believe the smartness and ability for her age.

That is a very intelligent child. Sadly that contributes to her Stress. She is very aware of her home and her family.
One of my nieces sounded like an 18 year old on the phone. My older brother called the house and he said he thought he was talking to one of us girls. He didn't realize it was our niece until she said she would get grandma to talk to him.
The husband doesn't seem to like being a family man. He seems like he misses being single and not having kids. He just looks and acts unhappy

They should have hired professional unpackers when they moved in. Worth every penny, the house would have been finished, the boxes gone, the pictures hung. Moving in with a new baby and a 3 year old is too much for a mother working full-time. Tessa likes everything to be tidy, she even cleans her own room, such a good girl.
I’ve never heard of unpackers? Brilliant, because anything helps. The children said it, I like the house clean. Clutter.…..I’m a bit guilty and I loath it.
And i thought my apartment was bad. But i got tired of it being a mess, so it motivated me to clean up. I feel like i can breathe now and relax.
That’s me but that could be weeks before I get movitzted by the mess but no, my house is definitely not as bad as this 😅

We grew up w chores! Couldn’t go out + play until every space was tidy. No way would clutter happen - ever. Sad 😞 for that little girl to have issues b/c of it. Glad it got sorted out. 😜
My mother always said "It is easy to clean a CLEAN house." We had a "place for everything, and everything kept in it's place." In an hour in the morning, our house was clean and we could leave for the day and come home to a clean house. My mother would say "You don't make a mess at school and there are 25 kids in your room, so there is no reason to have a dirty mess at home."

It's really crazy that they didn't have motivation to change before.
It's called being overwhelmed. They moved in with a three week old baby and never unpacked or organized.

My mom was a single parent and raised my sister and I. She always made sure he home was clean. Not Martha Stewart perfect bur cleaning and organizing was always done.
My mother always said "It is easy to clean a CLEAN house." We had a "place for everything, and everything was put back in it's place." Our house wasn't "MS either, but we could go off for the day and come back home to a clean house.

People like this drive me crazy. Can’t stand clutter on countertops and tables, dirty dishes everywhere. If you can’t fix stuff, learn, ask a friend, watch a video or hire someone!

there is no excuse for the mess....I'm a mam of 4 sons and 3 grand kids and and my youngest is 13 and he knows how to clean up even my grand kids know where bin is for rubbish and they are not even 4 years old
I know a man who was in the military for 25 yrs and out on a ship and he laughed and said "Those guys kept that small tight area clean, so don't think it can't be done."

Love how they rail straight in to the mom despite the fact that she is the breadwinner, working while the husband stays home. Looks to me like he's the one who they should have addressed straightaway instead of shaming the mother. They just want to make the husband more "handy". MAN get TOOL BOX! Woman gets berated for the dirty table. Why is dad not in charge of that too? He is the one cooking the meals! He needs to be pulling his weight cleaning the house! YEAH it's your responsibility! Both of you but they just keep going on snapping at Kim and acting like he was the poor sad husband.
Maybe they should have gotten the graphic designer to put the furniture together and had him do the wipe downs. Did they ask how she felt after? No they just cared about him. If he was the one working they'd have treated them the same way. Such a sexist mess!

Looking back it was great that my dad served 30 years in the Navy. There were 9 of us kids. My dad and mom setup processes so they both had tasks when were little. Then as we got older there were stages based on our age that we started taking over the tasks. Main stages were under 9 years we picked up after ourselves. 9 years old we did evening dishes. 11 we took out the trash. 13 we started cooking dinner and any baked treats. 15 we started doing the wash. Dad also taught all of the basics in car repair before we got our drivers licenses.
The less you have, the less you have to worry about. A painter friend told me that and it has stuck with me. It’s an agonizing process for some.
Thinking Eric will be divorcing Jessica soon. He cannot handle fatherhood.
My husband and I have a 13 year old 16 year old both work full-time and couldn’t imagine apartment looking this way whatsoever!! We keep it spotless and my apartment complex would never allow someone trash apartment this way.

When watching this series of videos, I wonder if the dad and mom's were brought up this too. And they have brought their child or children up this way because they don't know any other way.

This is no excuse to live in that mess bloody he'll its a joke and there age isn't a excuse if u can keep a clean house with 1 child dont have a second to bring into that horrible dirty messy environment... they need to get a grip and grow up... there is no excuse (both disabled and both got depression!!! No excuses!!)
Moral of the story, if you house gets out control call family and friends who are addict cleaners who'll both help and incourage you.

I sympathize bc kids do need a lot of stuff, but not as much as you think they need IMO. The issue also is that with young kids you must keep a tidy and clean house otherwise it can be dangerous for them or they could get hurt.

I actually hate puting things together myself. Those how to papers are horrible. I like buying stuff that's already put together. It took me and my best friend 4 hours to figure out how to put together my bed frame.
