    It's an absolute joke. I sold a bluray player on there recently, the guy that bought it opened a case against me for not as described. Said it arrived damaged and sent pictures to me for evidence, only the photos he sent were of a different unit with a different serial number. Provided this information to ebay along with photographs of the serial number and they still ruled in his favor. So, £145 down and one bluray player down. EBay is not protecting the sellers in the slightest.

      I agree and ebay are complicit in fraud! I had the same wqith a vhs dvd £140, buyer needed it straight away very urgently, 3 weeks later says it does not work, ebay rule in his favour before I even get to test it! Of course get it back and yes fully working!

    • @blazzz13
      @blazzz13 3 года назад

      You should always take serial numbers on electricals. Also in cases like that accept the return and even offer to pay return postage if the buyer refuses. A buyer tried that on with me with an expensive Dualit kettle- they never returned it and closed the case once I said I would need the goods back to inspect. Better losing a few quid in postage costs than £145.

    so now trainers that were worth £110, £120 will probably be listed at £99.99 now, to avoid this and therefore also dropping the value of many brands/styles. not good.

    they need to sort out the buyers returning different items , i sell mobile phones and in the last 6 weeks ive had a box of rice and a hard back book returned instead of the phone as they were not as described ummmm but yet they get a refund and i have to jump through hoops to get my money back. i have another buyer now asking for a £60 part refund as they had to get one fixed even though i said they could return it but no they want money back. (phone was fully tested before being sent) its getting out of hand now.

      You need to open a fraud case with the police. I've had a few buyers try the switcharoo but serial numbers, video evidence of you opening the return package goes a long way. Unsurprisingly Ebay never does anything with those buyer's accounts.

    I’ve sold lots of pairs using this programme and what helps is to describe every issue you see in the description, if there is any. Just saying lightly worn is not enough to go by as they did look more than lightly worn as what you noted to why there probably sent it back. Yes pictures speak thousand times more than words and using up the 12 spots is always vital but even if there is a slight issue on the shoe I always make sure to highlight it in one of the picture slots and if the customer requires more state that you can provide more photos upon request when your free to take them.

I am still sure they were 100% real as they were an asia only release and no other pairs on eBay or anywhere really, they said fake and sent them back but on a FB group of all NB buyer/sellers/collectors everyone said they were real...in the end I sold them on the FB group for more and didn't have to pay eBay fees.

But after hearing your issue, I'll be taking alot more care with my description to makesure it dont happen to me too

  • @dicky88

    I will be avoiding ebay now. I sold a paid without a box, absolutely 100% legit and descriptions and details a plenty. They said couldn't authenticate. Buyer then managed to message me and said they wanted them still. We made a private sale outside ebay. When I rang ebay to kick off (they banned me for 3 days which then meant 1 sale in 7 days after this but that's another story) they then told me to relist on the site as buy it now for him to buy! I told them they were having a laugh as the process would happen again and that they would not be getting any commission. These sold for £311.50!
