If there's fire outside? Wouldn't those foams start to melt? Or when someone pokes at them?

    Hello,
When I put on XPS foundation insulation, I will sink it 40 cm (about 16 inch) below ground and 40 cm will be above ground. What should I use to cover the part underground? Should I glue facade mesh on it too? And at the end what should I treat it with?
Where the EPS aluminium base rail bottom meets with the XPS foundation insulation, can the bottom of the aluminium base rail be simply plastered/glued? Or with what should I cover this base rail?
Thank you for your answer in advance!

My windows have bell mouldings above the windows to divert the rain away from the windows.

Can these foam board be bonded to an already painted concrete/CMU walls?

    • @erickalcala7649

I had the same question, a mortar specialist told me that in order to place mortar on top of already painted concrete you need to remove the paint. what they usually do is they start piking small holes into that wall for mortar to stick above it. I guess its the same principle but with that Poly on top of it.

@@erickalcala7649 Yeah. Paint is acting as a sealant. You can just grind the surface and use bonding agent.

Shouldn't be an issue. Wood is easier to bond to than masonry
