Imagine if Maria was swimming and then a voice out of nowhere says 'multiple leviathan classes detected. Are you sure what you're doing is worth it'?🤣👌🤦♂️
I came for Abzu, I stayed for the. . . Whatever this is called, the blog? Let's go with that, I stayed for the blogs. Also if you don't mind the criticism; the music is way louder than the voice for most of the video and I had to play with the volume as I watched.
That's a terrible place to build a base. I didn't see any titanium, copper, lithium or peepers. I can understand why the monks left. Great video, btw. Thanks for making it!
Came here for Subnautica and got so many inspiration from what your passion. And now I love you and the coziness of your videos. So just continue inspiring people and do what you truly love. Thank you from Russia
After a year and a half of isolation, quarantine, and social distancing, seeing videos like this and being reminded that beautiful places like this are still out there and that once again we can just... go to them... Thanks, Maria. Getting to share in your candid perspective of nature was really special
I remember being near the Algeriancoast for a time. There was a tiny inlet my dad found just off a road, where we could scramble down a few feet of rocks and go snorkeling. The water was cool, chest deep and clear. Mom and Dad would go out further and see an occasional octopus and coral. I could wiggle my toes in the gravel, and tiny green and black striped fish would search between my toes and the upturned pebbles for something to eat. Near that spot was an island of rock that had a small white lighthouse on it. Mom and I would some times bring our sketchbooks and sketch it in pencil.
I don't know which is more beautiful. The ocean or Maria. It's a close call. This stuff is even better than the Subnautica. I was so surprised how calm the fish were and expected them to scurry away at the presence of a human.
I love the sea! Two days ago when i was at the beach i spotted a black anemone, a green sea slug, a sea cucumber and found a purple heart urchin exoskeleton
Hi Maria, thanks so much for taking us along! My mom and I's last vacation ever was to Portugal (Lisbon and Porto) before she unexpectedly passed away. The beach was out of this world, and this video reminded me of it. Obrigada ❤
Berlengas is so cool!! i became an open water in this islands so it does bring back good memories :D. Lets see if i can convince anyone to go back there this summer.
Thank you Maria! I enjoy the Subnautica series a lot but this is the best kind of content! I love seeing you interacting with the real world sea and sharing the information with us. So... I thought you were stuck in landlocked Austria? Out on vacation to visit family or did you move back to Portugal now? Also, I am concerned about human trash in the oceans. You said this was 15 km off the coast. In your short dive it looked very pristine and I was wondering if that is something you encounter often when diving, plastics and other debris that are polluting the underwater environments?
Wow, that's beautiful. And I don't live too far from there really, I should try to go on vacations or something. I am not a diving guy, I used to like it but I had a lesion in the nose and now a very minimal amount of water pressure (meaning, around 1,5 meters) hurts me very bad. However, the place itself looks very worthy of a visit. Love those small and old places.
This was great, your content continues to be great. From the last water trip video to this one I can really feel how much better your filming skills have gotten, especially with the underwater shots. They felt more focused, stable and better framed, making the video flow and feel better overall. This style of video seems like a perfect fit for you
Great, keep these clips coming..... I've just found my New Jacques-Yves Cousteau, the person who taught me about the sealife in my younger years..... So, if you keep this up, you can become the new teacher of the sea..... We'll follow..... Clip looks great, good music, and good cut, again, keep it up..... Greatings from Rotterdam.....
would love for you to visit siquijor island in the Philippines. The biodiversity in the inland lagoons and the coastal areas as well as the deeper parts reaching up to the Philippine trench is really something to be amaze at.
That was beautiful Maria. Your parents must be really cool to help you like that. By the way. What kind of crab was that near the end? I thought you would be going on about all the marine biology stuff like you do in subnautica LOL. ! I think this is a great direction you are taking here. Next thing you know you will be toying snorkeling tours and oceanographic summer camps. Seems there is a handle on the world and it has your name on it. Good luck.
My parents are awesome! They love the outdoors and exploration, so I like to think they also enjoyed this little adventure xD I will definitely do more videos in the future with more marine biology info as well. Thank you for the lovely comment :)
Amazing video! I'm not a marine biologist but snorkeling along desert rocky shores is what I love to do the most... Last year I was in Crete and near the city where I was (which is on the south shore) I found beautiful tropical fish living there. (Those with striped skin and huge lateral fins). Locals said they come from the red sea and that their presence indicates that the water temperature is getting higher...
Oh you probably saw the Lionfish. It is an invasive species and unfortunately does a lot of damage to the local populations of fish :/ But it is now here to stay
Lindo lugar Maria! Gostaria de ter a oportunidade de conhecer um dia, caso eu vá em Portugal. Me lembra um pouco Ilha Grande no Brasil, onde a vida marinha também é extremamente rica. Sweet video!! I love the vlog style that you do. I’ll be creating more videos like this on my channel when I move to San Diego in a couple of months :)
aaaa ive only been diving once in puerto rico it was so beautiful, i want to do it again one day and hopefully be able to study the ocean as a marine biologist too
HI!! I want to be a marine biologist when I grow up!!! So I watch you ALL THE TIME!! This is so beautiful!! lastly, can you do a reaction to dolphin tail?
Thanks you ! =) All the songs I used in the video are in the description. To be honest I don't remember which one is which, but they are in the order in which they appear in the video :)

"10 seconds of oxygen remaining."

Yept, Let's Just Dive Right Into it.....
Quite literally this time :D
It looks beautiful! its so cool to see such a beautiful uninhabited island and its marine wildlife!
It is truly amazing!!
Ooooo an extra video from Maria on my day off, that's just made my day even better!
Absolutely fantastic and without the crashfish.
Thanks, this was way better than using Google Earth, especially the underwater part that was cool, thanks again.
First, love your channel. Not just for watching you play Subnautica, I like learning about the ocean and the life of a marine biologist.
Aw thank you. That means a lot! =)
You look so happy!!
The place is so prettyyyy. Going to beautiful places under the guise of marine biology is such a wonderful job.
That was just great Maria. See you diving in the blue water among the fish, loved it. Keep it coming. Love from Denmark
Thank you!
Wow. Very amazing and high quality video. Thumbs up. 😊😀

Thanks and thanks for the tip on the sound. I'm still learning a bit how to play around with that :)
Your personality is beautiful!
I love the rock formations and variety among the plant life on land and in water here. It looks so disorganized and colorful. Really extraordinary.
That's a terrible place to build a base. I didn't see any titanium, copper, lithium or peepers. I can understand why the monks left.
Great video, btw. Thanks for making it!
Beautiful place. Glad they are trying to save it.
Maria returns to the ocean!!
This make me want to visit Portugal
You should ;)
Thank you for this peaceful and educational video. I really like the way you are telling the story, reminded me of Jacques Yves Cousteau 💙👌👍
Nice I like these type of videos! (my suggestion for another good playthrough would be "Beyond Blue.")
Wow. That's a very nice editing and a narration. I'm impressed. Keep going, Maria!
