I. SHINJI - Evangelion Symphony | Piano

- This is my arrangement of I. SHINJI A-6 from the orchestral live album Evangelion Symphony performed by the New Japan Philharmonic (公益財団法人 新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団 / Kōeki Zaidan Hōjin Shin Nihon Firuhāmonī Kōkyō Gakudan) - also referred to as the 1997 Philharmonic Version - which was originally composed by Shirō Sagisu / 鷺巣 詩郎.
My intention with this piece was to emphasize the piano - which sounds obvious at first - but I didn't want to just transcribe everything. I wanted to make it fun to play, not too easy, not too difficult and highlight the emotion that this arrangement wouldn't bring out if I just played everything at the normal original tempo without any variations. This is why it may differ so much from the original version but keep in mind this is a piano cover and in my opinion you have to put at least some of your own into a cover to make it yours.

For such a well played beautiful piece it's sad that it hasn't gotten millions of views. This theme perfectly captures Shinji's tragic situation

If you're interested, you should try some attack on titan covers. Evangelion and AOT have the absolute best soundtracks in anime (in my opinion).
