The clamp is the best little trick for that caliber to compress. Didn't replace the shims because they looked fine. I never knew about the procedure with the braking, but I bought a different brand Carquest Premium Gold

what did you use to clean up the area before putting in the new brake pads at 5:20? Can a paper towel or a microfiber towel be used?

Microfiber would be better. I used a shop towel and brake cleaner

Bad news I tore the bolt on one of the pins. The good news is that I can get the pin out. Righty tighty, lefty loosey is reversed on the back... 🤦‍♂
