The Saudi monarchy destroyed this man by covering up his bad behavior his whole life. He probably felt a sense of self loathing too given that he had been taught his whole life to believe that men aren't born with his desire for other men, but develop it over time as a result of a corrupt and evil heart. I think he projected that self shaming and self hatred onto others as a form of over-compensation. Make others feel inferior because he secretly feels inferior

I agree. There’s definitely some generational trauma there! Would be really interesting to see a deep dive on his psyche one day!

Oh for sure. I can’t even imagine what hearing everyone talk about what you are as an evil monster would do to you. You can’t get rid of your orientation. It’s impossible. Him lashing out at his servant like, “I want you, so you must be the problem, you’re the reason I’m evil” almost makes sense in a deviant way because of his upbringing. To try to externalize something that you’ve felt horrible for having inside you is kind of a natural thing to do.
I don’t know about this level of issues but a friend of mine has a younger brother who is gay. He’s always been gay. But instead of living his life, he has sex with his best friend and dates women, and he’s abusive to all the women. Like very hard and cruel and demanding. He doesn’t want women. He seems to believe he’s supposed to be straight. So it’s like he puts all his anger about hiding who he is on them. Like an outlet. Meanwhile he is with his best friend. Who also insists he’s not gay. I get angry with the things I hear but also feel sorry for him. Idk what happened in his life but he’s in a similar boat.
It’s really sad honestly. They don’t get any absolution for their actions. But part of me is like, a Saudi or Italian father usually isn’t going to accept a gay son, and I feel sorry for them.

That very true. I'm sorry to hear about your friends brother, I hope he is able to accept himself one day and feel comfortable around his loved ones. They say the abused end up becoming the abusers. And we all know royal families around the world run rampant with mistreatment of their family members! Im sure the Prince's psyche was damaged from a very young age and due to his power and wealth no one outside his family was able to call him out on it so he normalized it! Thus becoming a monster.

He had very good lawyers, PR team, and support from Britain's foreign affairs establishment. Three years in prison for murder is a very good deal.
It may be an Islamic state, but that doesn't mean that being proved as gay in a British court means he will be considered gay in Saudi. A royal killing his servant is also not considered murder.
The sentence does ruin his Paris and Monaco activities, but he may still be able to travel around to a few close by countries while he is in prison. He'll probably have been married off too.
