It’s called a weissenborn, Ben Harper is another that uses it a lot. Yes it’s ‘just a slide guitar’ but only a weissenborn sounds like this.
Sounds almost exactly like the studio recorded version, great stuff. Typically you hear a live singer and it doesn't sound near as good.
