As Joy Dwindles With The Years (IB Solo Theatre Piece: Robert Lepage)

This piece reminds the audience that everything is temporary, through an exploration in the perception of life and time. Using Justin Wetch’s poem, “As Joy Dwindles With The Years'', and Robert Lepage’s theatre application of projection, this piece takes the audience through a memoir, a coming of age journey and the changing of time, conveying a current sense of self-awareness and reflection. The piece highlights the realisation of losing childhood imagination over time and the desire for the same childhood joy we all once experienced.
