    What year is this from? Btw, its fantastic :). I'm writing an essay on reading realist vs. reading contemporary performance and this is more helpful then you know.

    What LePage is saying is that Thomson doesn't have to prove he means it. Rather, he has to Argue. Thomson has it wrong - he has to be "real," but real in communicating the words and their images, not his conviction. Thomson isn't "INSIDE' the word.
