This song has me in tears of sweet surrender. I adore Your name Jesus, Jesu, Jehovah. Let me never wander away from Your love ever again my sweet Lord. Here’s my heart Lord, keep and seal it for Thy courts above. I’m with You Jesus. ❤

Count thou fount of every blessing

Come Thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
    Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
    Teach me some melodious sonnet
    Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I'm fixed upon it
    Mount of Thy redeeming love
    Here I raise my Ebenezer
Here by Thy great help I've come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
    Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
    Interposed His precious blood
    (Precious blood)
Oh, that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face
Clothed then in blood washed linen
How I'll sing Thy sovereign grace
Come my Lord, no longer tarry
    Take my ransomed soul away
Send Thine angels now to carry
Me to realms of endless days
Oh, to grace how great a debtor
    Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, oh take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above
    Here's my heart
    Oh take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

Can we PLEASE provide factual information when posting videos. It is not right or fair to do otherwise.
The lyrics were not written by Shane & Shane or by Chris Rice as is also mis-reported, (they did not write the tune either).
The words were written by Robert Robinson (1735-1790), only a couple of superfluous lines in this version were not written by him.

Thank you. It is a very unethical practice

      # Michael Brittain, Christian artists such as Shane and Shane etc never said they write the songs. They tend to write add ons' depending on the songs/hymns for the 21st century. That's why so many people have a stronge connection to the songs, plus the songs got me through my grief. It's aloud because the original artists were dead centuries ago and people can always look them up if they so wish. I remember some of the songs from school. The updated versions are so much better and fresh. It isn't unethical. I for one love Shane and Shane's music especially the Psalms because they're taken from the bible and they're literally worshiping Christ Jesus when they perform and for me that's what it's all about🙏. Agape Kingdom take songs/hymns and write the lyrics of the songs and take scriptures from the bible for videos where they're performed by a variety of artists. Bless them for doing so,🙏.

@@maxinedeleon4357 Please check what I said more carefully.
Credits here clearly say, "Come Thou Fount (Above All Else) by Shane & Shane".
It should - if we are all being honest - say "Come Thou Fount (Above All Else) by Robert Robinson. (Performed by Shane & Shane)".
That is all I am saying.
      That is only fair.
Otherwise people ARE taking credit as if they were the songwriters EG: One could honestly write. "Fire & Rain" by James Taylor" as a credit,
or "Steadfast" by Sandra McCracken" as a credit.
If I were to perform one of those on a video & have "Steadfast" by M. Brittain" on the credits that would be misleading (& rather egotistical!)
Do you see? THAT is where the "ethical" part come in.
My objection, therefore, remains perfectly valid.
      The rest of your comments are only side issues, however, for the sake of clarification;
      1) As a matter of principle, I have no objection to modern tunes being put to other people's songs, provided the songwriter is given credit. This is EXACTLY what "Indelible Grace" do so well and they ALWAYS acknowledge the source/writer.
      So should everyone.
      2) Many of the "add on's for the 21stC" which are, clumsily, tacked on to 'correct' the original brilliant lyrics, are dumbing down to cater for modern cultural illiteracy. They are usually cringeworthy cliques to reduce the 'strong meat' of far superior wordsmiths, who needed no assistance from our relatively shallow congregations & tastes.
      3) "Updated versions" CAN be "fresh" though they are not always "better" (your opinion), sometimes they are, in fact, inferior. They often give evidence of a kind of spiritual immaturity. But in ANY case, like 'Indelible Grace', true credits should be given. If "Agape" or anyone else, fail to do this, it's a shame (no matter what else they do).
      4) To say ,"the original artists were dead centuries ago and people can always look them up if they so wish", is rather dismissive, coldly indifferent & actually proves my point! Because......
Only IF due credit is given, (as I ask), THEN the Writers can be looked up but NOT if they remain unacknowledged, as they are here.
God gave great hymn/songwriters. We should bless Him for doing so & acknowledge His work in them for His church. Failing to do so is not spiritual at all.
So, nothing you have said invalidates my perfectly fair point.
Like I said; please read what I have actually said CAREFULLY before you say anything.
