I love their songs. I remember the late George Shiwak who was a great person and played with this group.

band is from HVGB and Northwest River ('Striver), and that's shot at the waterfont museum there. You should recognize one of them if you watched Last Stop Garage on Discovery Channel, that's Leander there performing on lead. And for the record, that song is OLD, it's a NWR song from when they still had the dance hall there. :)

    Newfie music is the best.

thats Labrador music, specifically Central Labrador. Flummie is a local word for a piece of quick bread you cook on the stove. Thats shot in the Northwest River museum by the River, and half the performers are from NWR, one member lives 4 doors down from my folks, they made Last Stop Garage for Discovery Channel at his gas station and he was a cast member. but not one person in that band is a 'newfie'.

My boy, the Flummies predate GBS by decades, that son'g is from Northwest River where they shot this (at the local waterfront museum premises). Same town as Last Stop Garage (it's almost 300 years old). The Flummies is over 40 years old and has had a rotating line up since it's inception. I was a kid in the 1980s and it was old THEN! GBS never started til the 90s. Also one of the ones you see was also on Last Stop Garage (Leander) at his family gas station/garage. ruclips.net/video/TSAJSJdziu8/видео.html
