I created the graphic box art for this piece. I'm happy it came out so well and gave you a good unboxing experience! (It did for me too)

I am sorry, but Metropolis is not a Hollywood production, directed by Fritz Lang. The original was filmed in 1926 in Germany, Bavaria, in what is called nowadays "Babelsberg", parts of it also in Berlin. Therefore, there is no colour to this, as it was a silent movie in black and white. It was, at its time, the most expensive German film production. So there is no gold version.

Very cool. How much did it cost? I have a poster of her and she’s gold.

Awesome piece, Danoby! Quite pricey as well but to be expected considering they used zinc allow to replicate the robot suit. Thanks for the look.

Okay, she just arrived (!), and she cannot stand up unsupported-the enclosed figure is so flexible in the ankles that the very heavy weight of the figure above the platform shoes tips her right over. (Kinda like me in the 70s with those shoes.... ) How is she supposed to stand on that base, then? And also, I'm wondering, in order to get her to sit on the chair (it looks like you have the chair back under her feet in the video), are you supposed to remove those clips? Will they flex enough to bend her legs at the hip that much or will they snap? I don't want to break anything here at these prices....

Same thoughts here - can’t stand on it’s own since it’s so weak at the ankles and can’t bend at the knees or hips to sit in the chair. Seems like a major oversight. The chair even has a slot that fits the back of the figure, so you know at one point it was intended to sit in the chair. Not sure how I can even display this beautiful piece if it can’t stand or sit.

i have this on preorder from years ago as well. i wouldn't be surprised if executive replicas go back and do some more diorama effects/accessories for this.

There is no clear indication what colour it was. In an interview the maker said it was "Weissmetal" and "Silberbronze" and mentions that they used silver and bronze powder to paint it. What colours exactly were used and in what ratio is unknown. We can assume it wasn't pure silver, but had at least a warm tone to it due to the bronze.

That's my understanding as well. When I paint my X Plus 1\8 model kit I'll use a base of pewter and a mist of bronze\gold

Thanks for sharing. I have a feeling the proportions of the figure are a bit off… I could be wrong.

The figure is nice but for me doesn't measure up with any hot toys offerings. Also, the price is very high even for die cast. For example, i got the Hot Toys die cast Iron Man mk-1, v2 for hundreds less than this. Glad i watched your video and read the comments. I think I'll build the plastic 1\8 scale model kit instead of this.

Looks cool. I wish it had a little more articulation though. Would have looked cool next to the 1000Toys robot.

I spoke with the ceo and creator of Executive Replicas and he wanted to make the figure as screen accurate as possible. So he chose to create the actress wearing the suit. I have found pictures of her like that with the headband.

I think you ended up overestimating sideshow with the “January 1st all the deals will be gone” they’ll keep lowering the price as long as they have to
