Historic D100/E-5 highway

This is the historic E-5/D100 road that accompanied (and partially still does) the millions, if not billions of migrants to and from Istanbul (European side) out to the West.
I've traveled these roads for nearly 6 decades. The incredible amount of fatalities and casualties I've witnessed here (and in mid-20th century German inner cities without any speed limits 😞😓🤣) and the complete helplessness and despair I felt, have driven me into Emergency Medical Services and a macabre need to continue to remain in this field...
