..........................................................................
This video displays a setting up of 61 chain links and 2 sprockets along with a defined path in Assembly modelling environment of Autodesk Inventor. [We invite everyone to visit our blog at following link bit.ly/3D_Param...]
First of all, some base sketching afterwards some advance pattern, adaptive features and assembly mates are to be applied to set up an animation matching the real world scenario… Later the whole mechanism consisting of required mates are driven by using Inventor Studio functionality of the software.

worth every second watching. Thanks
You are most welcome.
You're loved Sir
Thanks for the detailed and understandable explanation
I appreciate
Thanks for watching this video.
You're the best Sir
Thank you so much for this video.. Have a great future ahead🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great job thanks
Great classes.
what an awesome tutorial. Thank you!
Antonio Nathan You are most welcome.
Thank you very much for the tutorial.
Finally I can make a chain thank you so much 😄🙏, but where can I see the design process of sprockets sir?
Wishing to have the grace you have
tanks very much ! keep it on ! thanks again !
CongBKHN Nguyen Thanh You are most welcome.
This man talk like a marcian
Your videos are great‼. I hope someday to be as good as you.
Keep working sincerely on the software. You will certainly
gain experience and knowledge.
So shall it be.
Thank you for the Video. Is there any video on designing appropriate small and large Sprocket?
You do not have to create sprockets to complete the tutorial. Check video description and download the files of sprockets. We have not created video for designing sprockets.
Visit following RUclips playlists, the videos available at playlists are with drawing sheets. Check the video description and visit mentioned blog page to get drawing sheets in pdf files.ruclips.net/p/PLKWX3xUP3pPogJ-snxl4NP18CEi-I82dU

you are amazing, thanks a lot mr man :)
Thank you...
Thanks :)
Thank you very much!! It was very helpful!! :)
Paula Muñiz You are most welcome and do not forget to watch the related video where you can animate chain with 3 sprockets. The video is at following link...

Well stay in touch by subscribing us.
***** I would like to ask you how to do the animation, i don't understand why you animate the first constraint (drive 1) from 320 mm to 1000 mm in my case it's an error. I understand the second one that its rotating and by the motion constraint can move the other stroke. But I dont know why its not working, could u help me please? Thanks!
Paula Muñiz Try to do following tutorial it is more convenient to copy ruclips.net/video/UQo94WZqz7U/видео.html
First do it as it is shown slowly and gradually you will automatically understand why it is done by gaining the experience of software.....
Great job
very good.
유환영 Thanks for appreciation.
Sir I don't know why but I have a different assembly. It's not a simple chain. It's a conveyor belt. When I pattern the part it's follow the path but the the part didn't rotate in the curves. It remains straight.
Is there any way of moving the chain and sprockets manually ( Not automated). I can get the sprockets moving but not the chain manually. Please advice.
I was trying to animate a chain about 20 times and every time I had a very strange trajectory. Please , what is the mistake?
Hi, I have seen that the teeth of the gears are not syncronized with the pivots of the chain. how do they line up him?
Thanks.
***** Try meshing them manually after suppressing the related mates.. I want to inform that a similar new video is available to watch at the following link..ruclips.net/video/UQo94WZqz7U/видео.html
Why didn't you include the ratio between the two sprockets in the motion constraint? Would the animation no longer work if the sprockets didn't spin one to one?
Also i can't figure out where you got the value 61 from when making the rectangular pattern. If you could clear up which value that represents i would appreciate it
I was wondering this too... My guess is that the value 61 is calculated from the curve lentgh and the distance between the chain-link. The curve length is 915.864 mm and the distance between the chain-link is 15 mm (according to their chain-link tutorial video). 915.864 divided by 15 is roughly ~61.
Better late than never, haha i posted that over a year ago while i was trying to animate an old corvette transmission i modeled in inventor (never figured it out to this day). Thank you though!
Haha, I noticed that right after I replied. Well maybe now it's time to continue the work on that corvette tranny ;)
When I apply the last pattern my chains go separate ways and the corners go to random spots. even though the workpoints of the rectangular pattern show the correct locations, when I apply the normal pattern this happens. Anyone know what to do?
Hi, I have made the Chain as per your video but i cant find the Sprocket part or a video on how to draw it, Can you assist with a link
Duncan Marais There is video on Link by us, but with a different software watch it on the following link...
ruclips.net/video/U6_0W6M3OoQ/видео.html
***** Check the video description to get the model file. Check its modeling history from the browser bar to get the idea of its modeling.
Hi, Im tying to do the pattern in the assambley but the master does not show in the assambley the rectangular pattern that was created, therefore I cant select it to perform the pattern of the chain link. Any thoughts?
In the browser bar select Modeling View. By default the Assembly View is set there. Change it then pattern will be displayed in Master part.
Hi, I am keep getting stuck on creating pattern.. I followed everything and its giving me an error saying "one of the required inputs to the pattern blah blah. Fix the problem for the pattern input". Any idea what could possibly cause this?
+john cho It is a common problem reported by many people even we get the same problem if we try to recreate the file. Watch the following video the method displayed there is quite robust and easy ...Please reply back if it worked or not.
ruclips.net/video/UQo94WZqz7U/видео.html
Hi everybody. Can you help me pleased.? :) When i finish with the contraint animation, the chain links don't follow the initial curve during the animation. They have a strange trajectory.
Sorry but i can't show you a picture here. :S
It happens if it occurs just start it from the beginning after trying again it can be achieved. Best of luck.
Do you have the Project of those sprockets that you use in this vídeo, I don't find it in your blog. Thanks a lot.
Marcelo Carmello The files of sprockets are available to download but project worksheet is not available.
Looks like this video does not work with newer versions of inventor anymore... Oh well.
Hello 3D Parametric Solid Model Drawing!
Can you help me!
Why do you draw a Sketch 1? 1:36 I don't understand how it works
Thank you very much!!!
It is all done just to animate chain. There is no straightforward way to animate chain in the software that is why it is done through this way. Watch the following video to understand it more....ruclips.net/video/9m1CRJ5ZP_s/видео.html
thank you for supporting me.
But I still do not understand, I deleted "Sketch 1" and they worked fine!
i cannot could not find video of large and small sprockets ,you have dimension of it ?
They are available to download please check the video description.
Can you give me tutor how to create sprocket
anyway u can put up a tutorial to create the sprockets on inventor. i have to create my own version for a project
+Chenelle Etuk Sorry we can not help in this regard.
Disculpa el array no se viene para el ensamble
The method shown in the video is a bit complex. Watch following video of ours to find a robust and easier method to follow...
ruclips.net/video/UQo94WZqz7U/видео.html
no tengo manera de usar el array como operacion, hasta el boceto todo bien.
How can i download this rar file from this link. It redirect to autodesk viewer? Plzz reply...
Now files related to our tutorials can get only by request via our email which is niveshandnisheeth@gmail.com.
er...where's the video to create the small sprocket? :)
+Cynthia Maria Gutierrez Santana To complete tutorial just download the chain link and sprockets. You do not have to create them. Check the video description to get files.
+3D Parametric Solid Model Drawing thanks:) didnt read that part §:-P
+Cynthia Maria Gutierrez Santana You are welcome (─‿‿─)
How to make these same sprockets please help .. !
You do not have to create them just download finished file. Check the video description for download links.
but i wanted to learn how they are made cuz they are very difficult to draw
3D Parametric Solid Model Drawing i looked at all the modelling history but it didn’t helped 😢
where am I supposed to get the chain link from
That is available on our blog, check out the video description to know about it.
Wow, thank you for share it. - Awesome tutorials, as always. - But, please, don't talk; it's so distracting and annoying.
You can mute audio. (─‿‿─)

Very Good Videos that you makes, but i have 2 points i want to tell you
the video is so slow, accélérez un peu s'il vous plaît! :)
the second one is we need more explication, many steps that you make I ask my self (WHY!), we are not professional so there are a lot of things that is not clear for us.
thanks
I'm sorry if i am bothering you :)
Keep going! ;)
You expressed what you realized. And we are quite thankful that you mentioned it. You can control the video playback speed from the RUclips player. Check the video to understand⤵⤵

This is not our animation we learned it from a book. In this video, we are only demonstrating what we are doing to create a chain animation. To know why these steps are done you have to go through the book.
If you need that book email us. (nisheeth.sorjm@gmail.com)
