I just hope I had the same opportunity, but blessed enough to find an internship program online at Consumerchoice (email: internship@consumerchoice.com).
I just applied for the summer 2021 HR internship! I’m super nervous since I personally don’t have much experience and don’t go to a big name school:( but I still have hope! Thanks so much for sharing ur experience it was very insightful! Loved the video!❤️
raquel brown yes you should apply as soon as possible! I believe they review as they come in and they start interviews/acceptances before the deadline ends
Hi Narhee!! I was wondering if you would be able to answer a few questions about this internship/ application process ? If you are up for it, how should i contact you? No worries if not!
Hi, I loved your video and it really made me want to apply!! Can you share with us some tips in regards to how to get in, interviews, how was your overall experience, etc? Thank you
Great to hear! In terms of the interview, I would check glassdoor for tips/questions - it's super helpful and also reach out to people on LinkedIn for career conversations/advice. You might hear this a lot but prepare for basic behavioral questions and definitely know your resume and have stories to tell in the STAR format. Overall, the interview process was pretty chill compared to other experiences I've had! If you're looking to apply for 2021, the applications just opened.
Really enjoyed this content! Definitely looks like a dream especially with the beautiful NY headquarters. How has the pandemic affected your internship with L'Oréal?
Madison Buatte thanks Madison!! The office is beautiful 😊. I am actually working there full time now and this video is from summer 2019 so I was not affected by the pandemic - just a late post.
Hey, I made it to the second round for Marketing. I want to work mostly with data, so I'm interested in the analytics part of marketing. Hopefully I get something.
@@rahuldas6777 no worries, I think I waited a month in between my first and second round interview! If it has passed the amount of time HR said it would take for them to get back to you, feel free to follow up with them! (I'm pretty sure I had to follow up twice)
thank you so much for sharing! i was wondering about what year are you in right now? are you a marketing major? i study social science but super into marketing!
thanks so much for watching! 😊 hope it was helpful. I actually graduated December 2019 and I am now working at L’Oreal full time. I majored in Applied Economics & Management with a concentration in Marketing!
Hi! I really enjoyed watching your video as L'Oreal is my dream job! Do you have any tips for someone who is just about to graduate with a BS in Marketing and looking for their first marketing internship at L'Oreal? :)
Hi! I would look for Junior Marketing Associate/Coordinator/Analyst positions on the L'Oreal careers site - those are the entry-level roles that will pop up
I made it passed the follow up questions but I’m just waiting to see if I can get an interview now. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an internship like this, but it’s so hard just to get them to look at you. I only go to San Diego State. It’s not exactly Cornell :/
Wishing you the best in the application process! While school might help in terms of the target schools that L’Oreal goes to for on-campus recruiting, it is definitely not the end all be all. Do not be discouraged - I just happened to go to Cornell but what will help you stand out is your experience/passion!
Hi Narhee, I love your videos! I applied to the Marketing internship back in January because working at L’Oreal seems so amazing. I tried emailing them recently to see the progress on my internship a week ago but they still haven’t gotten back to me. I was wondering if you could please check if the internship is completely filled now.
Hello, I had a question, so I'm targeting on both Digital and Marketing fields, can you tell me what should I read (get a degree basically) for both as I haven't decided particularly, and I'm interested in both, it would be great, if I can get some tips too :D Have a great day ahead 💜
Hi Narhee loved your video? I plan on reaching out to alumni on linkedin but don’t know what to say any advice as to how to write an intro without sounding needy if that makes sense? Thank you!!
hi Esther! I recommend doing as much research about the internship as possible and reaching out to any school alumni that may be working there already for advice. Look on Glassdoor for example interview questions and be sure to have a good pitch/story as to why you want to intern/work there. Prepare your answers to common behavioral questions using the STAR format and be sure to use/share your experiences in your answers!
this video was so helpful thank you for sharing!! I'm in the process of applying for their management trainee program and I was debating if I should use a creative resume or stick to using the traditional resume format? do you have any advice/tips for this?
hey! exciting 😊 wish you the best of luck during your process. Unfortunately I don’t have enough experience to answer that question especially because the school I went to most people stuck to the traditional resume format (that being said, most people were going into finance/consulting). I imagine the content of the resume matters the most so I don’t think you could go wrong either way! If it helps, I used a traditional resume format as well.
Hey! First of all, congrats! Not sure what your first interview was like but I imagine it will be quite similar. Just be prepared with the common behavioral questions and answer them in the STAR format (situation, task, answer, result). Be sure to know your resume and have stories to share from those experiences! My second round was very chill so I wouldn’t worry too much 😊 best of luck!!
Narhee thank you so much!! I landed the internship!!! I was wondering whether Yk if it’ll be in person and did you live at corporate housing? If so are you allowed to have outside guests over and hkw was the housing arrangement

unfortunately no free food :( I was the only intern on my team because they spread out all the interns but in a given intern class they usually take ~50% back
Hi! Hm, are you asking specifically for the internship? Either way, I think the best tip I have is to reach out to people through LinkedIn to get insight into the company and bring that information to your interview. In terms of getting stuck earlier, I would work on making sure your resume has relevant experience and key qualities that the job/internship requires
hi! It shouldn’t be too late, they probably have just started with their interview process. I applied when on-campus recruitment was happening and I believe that was early-mid October! You can find the application on their careers site.
Please help me for getting summer internship 2022. Please tell me when application for summer intern open? And what type of CV accepted? Please Narhee It would be very kind of you .

Thank you so much! I am not too sure about the other countries part, I believe it might be available only for those who are legally authorized to work in the US. I would check the website/job description to make sure. Even if you aren’t in the US, there might be a L’Oreal in the country you live in which case you could apply to a program there 😊. Making friends was quite easy! To be honest, most of the day was busy with work but we had intern pod rooms and I got closer to those I saw on a daily basis.
That is a good question! I thought I had put in the description but this video is actually a year old. I made it when I was a summer intern in 2019 which explains the lack of masks 😊
Hi Narhee! My name is Anna Vonderhaar! I’m a marketing student at the University of Iowa and I am heavily interested in this position and have been doing some research for the last week! I was wondering at what point in your schooling did you have this internship! Was it between your junior and senior year? is that the typical time undergraduates apply for this position? Also, when was the application open? For example, when would the summer of 2021 be open? thanks so much! this video was very helpful!!
Anna Vonderhaar Hi Anna! Thanks for watching 🥰 Yes this was between my junior and senior year - L’Oreal offers junior summer internships because like many companies they look to hire/offer return offers to rising seniors. I believe the application should be open by October, if not earlier. You can find it on their jobs website when the time comes!
Can people from pharma and mba background also work for L’Oréal? Also, any tips for university students as to what experiences to get to enhance the cv more? :) Thank you for this beautiful vlog! 🤍
Marketing is a great career, but I think how people define “good” is pretty subjective 😊 and everyone will give you different answers. As long as you’re passionate about what you do, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be good for you! Every company needs some aspect of marketing so I would say there are a lot of opportunities & roads for growth out there.
