      Raja and Kobe have alot of respect for each other and squashed their beef a while ago. One offseason, Kobe tried to recruit Raja to the Lakers when he was a free agent. Raja has said he almost considered it too.

      Bro james and some kids don’t and are 100% focus and know what they want from the get go so un know way shape or form should we let those kids stop the growth of that focus. Go in the team or league where you can find yourself or do multiple things. It goes both ways and we all got to respect it. If a team is about winning with focus nothing else then if you not ready it’s not for you but that team shouldn’t have to change nothing for a bit focus kid. Kobe's greatest trait people overlook who hate him was his ability to add whatever he wanted to his game. To just decide to get an amazing post game or to be a great defender is a microcosm of his insane accumen for the game because his game was good without those things but those made him greater for longer which is what it takes to be a Top player ever.

  • @Julian-rt9qs
    @Julian-rt9qs 5 лет назад +2

    Let's be real here. Just because "it's a fact" doesn't mean it's necessary and it doesn't mean it can't be used as an attack. Instead of simply saying "One of our girls is not pictured here, she had a dance recital" adding in the bit about where her focus is gives people the impression that you're taking a jab at her wanting to dance. Especially since there's no intonation, just text to read. People pretend like this doesn't read as a bit of a dig but it very easily can.
    With that said, I didn't think it was that bad. He didn't have to mention it but I wouldn't have ripped him for it at all. I disagree with adding it in, and maybe i'd concede to just wording it differently, but I didn't find this to be a huge issue.

    Kobe nor Raja said anything wrong. I agree with both. As a coach myself I always ask my kids “why do you want to play football” if they say anything that starts with “because my dad...” “because my mom...” “my parents wanted me...” I walk over to that kids parents and tell them myself this sport isn’t for your kid. Kids should play sports because they want to and understand fully what they are getting into not because their parents made them. Those kids don’t miss practice for other sports or activities, those kids come to practice because they want to.

    I believe in participation trophies for children. As a social worker my perspective is different because so many children go through so much crap you wouldn't believe and not everyone starts on a level playing field. For some children, just showing up, and being part of a team, and competing hard and playing hard is a victory and should be acknowledged with respect even if they aren't a champion. It does mean something. You can make a bigger more elaborate trophy for the winners so they can feel that they earned more. There is a balance between having fun and playing for pride. I've been on plenty of teams where guys get pushed because they are more talented. When I was 11 and 12, I was just starting to play basketball and the coaches tried to make me the star because I was 6'1 and athletic, not because I was the best player on my team. In high school I've seen guys come in as freshman and start Varsity over guys they weren't better players than who had put in time and work and won games because they were thought to have great talent and coaches wanted to push them forward. We don't live in a pure meritocracy and sports isn't a pure meritocracy. People push forward the kids they like and the kids who have the most talent, even if they aren't as skilled or haven't proven themselves or paid their dues. Every kid who shows dedication and hard work deserves credit because it is not always those who work the hardest who are the best, and it isn't always the ones who work the hardest that win.

    Ugh... it takes being involved with kids/coaching to get it. Totally agree with Bell here. Even with my own kid. He loves to play, and it's #1. But he isn't the best player. The message is always - how do you get better? Never to bring DOWN the level of another player, but level UP for the sake of the team and your own improvement. Play better players, work harder, to get better. Don't play down, play up. If it's a fun league, everyone plays, that's ok. But if it's competitive, really trying to win - you gotta go with the best and as a player you have to try to be THAT guy.

    Yo he missed the playoffs in 2005 and got bounced out of the first round. He didn’t win again until he got the two biggest bigs in the lead and then Odom and Artest(or Ariza) on the wing.

    Kids at that age are still learning what sports & activities they like & are growing to love so they need & should be involved in all the activities available for them remember the kids are giving their free time as well. You can't expect kids to make adult (or young adult) decisions. As they grow older they will. So Raja was wrong & Kobe was wrong cuz u don't blast a kids on social media cuz they have other interests and other obligations that differs from yours cuz remember its about the kids, right... Kobe made it about him rather he tried to or not, he did so he will learn from & do better next time cuz these are small kids not young adults.

After that she dropped out of dancing and stayed with the basketball team and worked really hard on and they won by 100. People didn't get what kobe was saying. Of course because people from Twitter, instagram, are brainless monsters.
