It was my pleasure. The original mixtape I made with these four tracks more than 20 years ago was labeled "Instructions for Self-Destruction". I found the tape in a box while I was cleaning out a family member's basement and decided to repeat the process more than two decades later to share with other enthusiasts like yourself. :)
@@nomisukeindustries haha what a gem of a find!! That had to brighten your day, huh?! Very clever title also.. Yah it's much appreciated bro, seeing it in its combined FULL form here on YT was certainly the highlight of my night last night lol. Thanks a million. Cheers!!

"Further Down the Spiral" was my first NIN album that i bought 20 something years ago and I listend to "The Downward Spiral" afterwards. Wasn't brutal enough was my first thought of "The Downward Spiral"
I had one of those CD visors and yeah in 2011 the year I graduated hs I wrecked my Saturn two door into a flooded ditch with my 90lb female comrade and after kicking the window out I look over and she's not there and I'm like holy shit she got ejected and is probably under the fuckin car and then I hear hysterical laughing and look in the backseat (roof because we are upside down) and then she stops and holds her hands over her mouth in fear/worry and reaches forward and pulls a chunk of a CD out of my head.... Further down the spiral. Talk about having a song stuck in your head.
@@keegandissent2225 well you have no indication you were joking. Look there are plenty of baby boomers out there hell bent on not getting with the times on some things ( my mother sometimes is one of them ) ,😁. Sorry.

I used to visit a record store a few towns over that would carry imports. That's how I learned about the 3rd song. I would always spend twice as much on CDs because I would have to buy the US version and the Japanese version. Japanese imports usually contain extra music.
@@06mrselfdestruct Yes. It’s also funny that people assume Trent did that remix, but it was Coil and Danny Hyde. I think there’s an interview somewhere with Danny talking about how surprised they were when they heard their mix in the beginning of Se7en. They never got a dime for it, and they rarely get recognition for it.
I could have sworn I was the only one willing to listen to these remixes all at once.
To me, they are not remixes. I envision this version - strait through 24 minutes - as what Trent intended for the song.
I believe this is the correct way of listening to Mr. Self Destruct.
This is industrial metal at its finest

That was the same year I built my first 1500-watt car stereo. I was blasting "Final" (16:42) and I was pulled over for "excessive noise".
@@nomisukeindustries sounds legit. lol.
I bought 4 CDs looking I found CLOSER. The perfect drug remixes , broken, and March of the pigs remixes

Great to hear these back to back. They really should've been put out in this way.
Crucial listening.
