I'm no Christian, but I do live my life trying to make a smile on everyone's faces. Its the best I can do. And I don't see this as a Christian song... it really feels unique in its own way.
I think people interpret them as Christian since they often mention God/prayer in their songs (I see it a lot with Breaking Benjamin). I may be a bit off here but personally my interpretation is that they don't want people's faith to blind them to what's going on around them.

This song has touched me deeply my sister and her two grandchildren were killed in a senseless traffic accident this week and for some reason it makes me think of her and her beautiful heart and how she was loved by everyone she knew and how she never had a bad thing to say about anyone she truly knew how to love.
