i really dont know why this is, but so many other amazing guitarists tend to scare me off with their amazing playing and make me feel like such an amateur, except for this channel. I always want to pick up my guitar when I watch these ...
Yep cause he doesn't lose you with amazingly blinding speed: He's.easy to follow, and clean souning. Its His interpretation, so now you also have one to build on, or not?
Guitarrists that make you pick up your guitar are the ones that inspire you. This guy inspires me too! Love aproaching to that Hendrix/srv/JM sound! Mmhhh Tasty!
@Ssgt Griggs - Let virtuosos like Sean inspire you to play, but play just for the sheer fun of playing and for the joy of nailing a new lick you couldn’t play before.
The 2 second lick at 0:38 is just so good. There is so much pure gold in the entire video. Great Job Sean! Your playing has reached another level in the last few months. Or maybe you only have showcased this. This song is heavenly. It has Sean Mann signature all over it but I hear, Stevie, Jimi, Steve Vai, and a little Billy Corgan (Love the pumpkins)
I fucking love how that guitar looks. Guitars with scratches always have a story and by listening to this, I know behind those lays a great one. Keep it up! You rock
Hendrix released the Strat, SRV tamed it. You have captured the Stat, the feel, the sound, the history, the legends, and provided a new dimension, (with the extended use of the fretboard and chords). Brilliant version of a classic. Nice work.
Brilliance. So clean, technical and light at the same time. The best things are the simple things when you know how to deal with the complex stuff. :-) Congratulations!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm so bored with all the shredding stuffs we see everywhere, and as much as I love the neo-soul vibe that is going on and the many talented guitarists who are promoting it, this style never hits home like your playing does. You make me want to grab my guitar and rock on these hard bluesy chords & licks every single time. Thanks for the wonderful playing and for keeping the blues spirit alive ! Looking for taking your online courses as soon as I have enough time to fully immerse myself in it !
If Jimi Hendrix were to have heard anyone play this classic tune with so much beautiful embellishment and melodic improvisation, he'd have been stopping the guitarist repeatedly and saying "Wait up. Dang do that again, man."
Props to you for taking this off into a different direction. Funny how with this song, every time people change it, it's always an order of magnitude more complicated than what hendrix did, yet it is still 1000x harder to play his version correctly. Say... the Monterey version or even the studio version. No one will ever be able to play it correctly, land all those fills, etc and there's only 5 chords in the song.
WOW...WOW...WOW... This has to be, by far, my favorite rendition of this song EVER...incredible sound...tone.. style...I love it so much, that I have listened to this video in my car while driving... Thank you so much for this... 🔥🎸🔥🙏🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏🔥🎸🔥
The thing I always wondered is: did Hendrix ever imagined he would still be widely considered the best half a century after his death? Awesome playing, beautiful and soulful arrangement. Be prouf of yourself!
No true artist really thinks of themselves as 'all that' bc they always see themselves as students and never feel like they've mastered their art. I think any musician that gets into these types of ego-mania arguments, especially if they're claiming greatness about their own ability, really aren't all about the music at all. So yeah I kinda think he didn't see himself being universally accepted as being the greatest guitarist of all time...or fifty years later. That said, I personally don't think there's anyone else that comes close to Hendrix.
@@bullwinklemoose8291 yes, Hendrix never believed people who said he was the best. He was really humble and admired a lot of players. I was just wondering if he thought people would still love his music the same way through all these years
In the book Jimi Hendrix they say he was a quiet humble person who didn't even think or say he was the "Best". Jimi loved styles of his peers from Mike Bloomfield to Eric Clapton.Very Sad he wasn't around long. Also they say Hendrix did not like his voice. So Many OTHERS (musicians) have Huge Egos, without naming them u know who they are; but not Jimi.
I see what you did. It's like cooking a fine dish, and you taste this ingredient, and then another and then a hint of basil comes through and gets overtaken by another. Savoring every surprising note.
I put down the guitar only to see this on my recommendation only to pick it up again to change my tone and playstyle coz of how heavenly this sounds. This and the Bedroom Lick will have a special place in my heart You deserve a sub!!

This is the most creative cover I’ve ever seen of any song
Thank you!
Wow.. so much talent. Your improvised feel is off the charts
Thank you!
Nobody is doin it better than you at the moment mate. Love the verse chords up and around the 12th fret. Stunning ideas and execution.
Thanks a lot!
Transcription for this song was in Guitar for the Practicing Musician in the first issue I ever bought in 1990. Time flies.

At first I was like “pumpkins “ but then towards the end you can totally hear it. I think it’s the phaser or some effect, I can’t tell. But I dig it.
this is severely underrated. probably one of the best renditions ever.
Cheers Sam!

Maybe that's simply a relic model. I mean that's how it comes from the factory itself, worn out...
It looks gorgeous and has such a lovely sound!
What a Fender Strat is SUPPOSED to sound like. Love the use of the clean tone.
Sean... Around the 40 seconds mark i fell out of my chair screaming.. I have some practice to do🤩
One of the best versions of this classic 🎸
Really developing your own sound while keeping the influences In their

That tone would make Hendrix proud. I hope some day I can play as smoothly as you do.

Also noticed a little Cult in there “she sells sanctuary” very nice touch 🙏
You have a keen ear 😉
Hát ez az a pluss, amit mástól nem kapunk meg. Az érzés amit csak SEAN MANN tud amivel elvarázsolsz mindannyiunkat.!!!!
Ő egy MÁGUS. Ő a JÖVŐ. 🎸🎶🎵🎼🔊
A masterpiece! Just cannot get enough of your interpretation.
Those octaves really had a Siamese Dream sound for a second or maybe even Wes Montgomery
Sean is in a class by his self..to me the most amazing guitarist ever
Amazing cover that Jimmy himself would be proud of!
Thank you
Now that's the pure strat sound in all its glory
