That cat eye kept up pretty good considering that it has 6 less gears than the f150
Lol that cat eye also has either a 6.0 or 6.2 FBO, H/C. Weighs far less, had a full on drag pack with a 15” conversion in the back. Imagine if the F150 had lighter wheels all around, that cat-eye would’ve most likely have lost.
@@poormansrt that’s definitely true, but think about how much of an advantage that 10 speed has. Lifted truck on 35’s with just a tune is keeping up with a slammed out race truck. Imagine if that cat eye had a 10 speed 🤭
@@chrishansen7004 hey, GM makes 10-speeds now. I have yet to see someone race a GM 10L80 truck vs a 10R80 Ford. And regardless I have seen 4L80 and 6L80 GM trucks move too.
On a roll race there is only a small advantage with the ten speed , I mean once your rig is pulling you only get a couple gears to do your thing. Also remember that the ten speed has three overdrives so power wise it’s more of a seven speed with o.d x3

It’s my buddy’s truck, he’s the tuner (all motor labs) , velocity headers, boss manifold, all motor labs ram air intake. All motor truck. Just those bolt on’s.
