  • Bad guys are going to be bad guys. Tool thefts are an issue. How do you lock things up and feel safe about things? Having used a battery powered lock for about 6 years, I thought I'd try a different approach with this more robust, battery free lock. But how does it work?!

You might want to see what The lock Picking Lawyer on You Tube has to say about that lock. I'm fairly sure he will tell you that the code portion is alright but the emergency key lock is garbage and can be easily picked. Many lock makers spend a lot of development money and then cheap out on the keylock.

Yep, in every similar product so far, they use the cheapest possible core and anyone with 30 seconds and a lockpicking set will easily unlock the door through the key way. :( hopefully they put some thought into it for once

Thank you for stating at the beginning that your terms are referenced to pointing at things to which you do not know its name!!! It tells me that I need to WATCH and just not listen to your logic. I like your channel a whole lot! You actually have LOTS of tid-bits which are very useful... some people say that I am full of useless information, but really, I am waiting for the correct time and place to flood the world with my knowledge. You are feefing my brain!!!!

Thanks Rob. Those keypad locks are fairly common on this side of the Pond, it's the battery operated ones which would be a bit more unusual.

I can see this being useful up in the frozen north of Canada where the cold wrecks batteries and locks you out.
