Thank you for this tutorial! I have had difficulty learning how to connect the squares in a way I liked. You just taught me how! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Yay!!!! Mint, turquoise, forest green, mix all three, and a variegated. Those are my colors. White border. Love the joining. Great instruction. I'll let u know if I can get it . I'm gonna watch and try. Happy weekend!!!! Love ya
I just started having trouble with it but I’m getting there I have blue, purple so far trying to use up all my little bits of wool I have and white for the joining
THANK YOU MARY!!! I just discovered your method of JAYG. I had just completed a blanket using the slip stitch in the gap between the clusters, and came across your video and ripped it all out. I wasn't satisfied with the joining. It didn't look secure and had too many gaps. UGH!!! Your method is great! I was hesitant to do the "fiddly" thing with each stitch, looked like too much work, but it became easy. It's actuallly easier, especially the corners. And the corners!!! So beautiful and neat! And Easy!!! This looks so professional, beautiful and is very secure. Also, both sides look finished! THANK YOU!!!
You are most welcome. It took me a while some years ago when I first tried it. But a few blankets later and I got it under control. Glad you liked it 👍😁
You're a great instructor. I'm on my 2nd grany sq blanket crochet along and enjoying it. It's a nice blanket. I have to rewatch (esp how to join squares) Thanks for making it not so intimidating
I just found you on RUclips. You are an amazing instructor. I’m fairly new at crocheting and I sooo appreciate you explaining each step. I’m so thrilled that I ran across you. Thank you so much.

Can this process be done for a granny square cardigan/sweater? If so, can you perhaps do something like this in a video. You do great work. Very informative!! 🥰
Hello there. Yes, it can be used for garment making, just keep in mind that this join can give garments a slightly thicker look than usual. Therefore, your garment may feel heavier. Plus, it's a yarn eater.
Here's a question for you. Is it possible to make a rectangular bed spread with Granny squares, considering the symetry of the squares (natural squareness of the basic outcome)?
Thank you for your query. Yes it is possible you would make the length you need ie: let's say you used 10 squares for the length... (just a guess) instead of doing 10 rows of those squares, just make 9 rows... or whatever amount of squares you need for your width. Hope that makes sense?
Yes Mary, you can use smaller squares. We are currently working on a temperature blanket. Following is the link to the join-as-you go method 😊 ruclips.net/video/tZ8PxYcf27c/видео.html

Well now that is a long story. But to cut it short, I was taught how to double crochet I by an elderly lady who would visit my place of residence when I was 5 years old... (a gazillion years ago now) 🤣🤣 However over the years I have had many teachers including my eldest sister, some friends and crochet colleagues and many mistakes later I learnt lots of tricks as I went along.
