Fuck!! They still got it...never lost it! Why record companies and radio stations refuse to promote real musicians will never be understood. We no longer have prince and they're holding the lead vocals on point! This is an amazing musical treat!
As a guitar player I'm very happy that the camera is mostly on Wendy to see how and where on the neck she is playing...plus I had a huge crush on her back in the day!
It has ALWAYS bothered me that all these award shows and TV specials were putting together Prince tribute performances and nobody ever thought to invite the original Revolution?! Instead we gotta sit and watch Madonna hack her way through Purple Rain?! Straight up injustice, man.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING and I haven't watched a single bullshit tribute until I saw the Revolution perform last night. Tell Bruno Mars to take that shit the fuck off and sit the fuck DOWN. I don't ever want to hear ANYONE - and I mean tell Beyoncé to sit the fuck DOWN if she even thinks about it - ANYONE perform this man's music other than this band. The industry today is at it's worst. I couldn't even get through that shit on BET - what did they invite Sheila last minute too? PUH-LEEZ. Only Paul, Eric and Susannah did that beautiful video that brought me to tears it was so amazing.
They pull it off, and I’m not sure too many bands could, but they do. They aren’t attempting to replace him, they are just doing their thing, and it really does authentically honor him. Organically. Just doing their thing.
I agree with you rob brown..i felt they should have done the prince tribute ..the revolution was prince's best band..im so happy their touring..would loVe to see them in concert☺
Extplay, thanks for posting this. was there, the Revolution and Stokley Wiliams did Prince proud. As you can see in this vid, they were tight and sounded great.....
Thanks for posting. Fastforward to when Stokley joins the Revolution. There will never be another Prince. However, Stokley is one of the few artist to cover Prince (that I have heard so far) that can stay true to the funk and put his own stamp on Prince's music. I would also love to see Raphael Siiadaq and D'Angelo do some Prince tribute covers. Again many thanks for posting. The Revolution gives an Amazing performance. Prince4EVER
Nice recommendations! At the end of the day it's not about replacing P or trying to recreate what was, it's about keeping the flame of his memory alive with love, and putting this music in the most capable hands possible while we go on that journey. Everybody can't or should not do his music...but there are those who it is clear they've given a level of respect, education, and application to their craft that they are fully capable of doing these pieces justice. It's a small, very select group of virtuosos, but thank God we at least have them to help showcase these songs and remind us all why true musicianship is so important and what we lost the day the Purple One passed away.
I grew up in love 😍 w/Lisa&Wendy!!! They all still sound great today, too bad I never got my wish to see Prince reunited with them, for an album & tour.
If Prince were to elect a singer to stand in for him it would be stokley 💯 multi-instrumentlist, lead singer of an epic band with a killer falsetto and also from the twin cities! They were very good friends.

YES - Glad I'm not the only 1-2 see!!!! 👀💧
Rob Brown You are telling the truth! ..how can you not have a Prince tribute without the Revolution! ...They were a big part of Prince
I think it's by design that he's not getting the proper respect even in death. I believe the industry is behind it.
Man, they sound real-real,...Good!!!
Besides Ms. Sheila's...BEST tribute to Prince!Makes me miss Prince MORE 💋💜🎵!
They sound amazing Nothing is lost everything is there love it would to see them
They pull it off, and I’m not sure too many bands could, but they do. They aren’t attempting to replace him, they are just doing their thing, and it really does authentically honor him. Organically. Just doing their thing.

Prince loved Amsterdam. I am curious how they play at Paradiso.
Prince was there 100% Literally 😍😇
I love stokley. I love prince and the revolution. But I don't know how I feel about stokley standing in front of the Revolution singing a prince hit!
If Prince were to elect a singer to stand in for him it would be stokley 💯 multi-instrumentlist, lead singer of an epic band with a killer falsetto and also from the twin cities! They were very good friends.
@@davidtaliai996 you know what, excellent point! I agree since you put it that way! Thanks

BROWNMARK.
This was kinda poppin..'!
the revolution are back together. wendy lisa brownmark david z Matt fink .
Scanning for the Lisa comments;-).
Uh Madonna was quietly kept protege of Prince. She owed her career to Prince hence her tribute.
Game Blouses
IS Wendy the only keyboardist there .
Lisa along with Dr Fink is on keyboard. Wendy is on guitar.
They remind of the Jackson 5 with out Micheal Jackson.
It is "fuck so pretty" ? No?
