BEAUTIFULLY played. Thank you. Absolutely marvellous. I love playing this myself. It is rarely played and not very well known compared to the other Mendelssohn Venetian Gondola song. Bitter-sweet and melancholy but so beautiful. Such depths of feeling. Mendelssohn was such a poet. He captures with this piece something really quite rare.
You are so right! it is at the same time romantic and melancholy and also captures the soul of the romantic piano, and of the period - truly a song without words. The left hand shows us the waves gently rising and falling as the gondola glided through them. And the right hand is an intimate , personal melody with the most dreaming, exquisite feeling : Thank you so much for writing !!! And for your very kind words! I do hope that you will enjoy playing this yourself! Blessings:)💕😊🌹👌👍💖
Thank you for your amazing tutorials too!:) I just heard you play Burgmuller's Arabeeaque and loved the cleanness of your playing, as well as the excitement you created with a slight and very natural acceleration as the piece unfolded. Bravo!
@@pianolessonsboulder1894 haha well I only rarely drink wine, and I use weed for my medical conditions 😂 I am trying to practise everyday, although I've had to slow down and work very much on my touch, as I was getting tension in my wrists and hands, but I'm working on this atm.
Thank you Motahareh! You echoed my sentiments exactly:) I wasn't too fond of that digital piano.
