- The Boca Tapada region may be one of the best birding areas in the country! In this video we explore the surroundings of the Laguna del Lagarto ecolodge.
This past April, we drove all the way up to Boca Tapada, near the border to Nicaragua. The forests up there are widely considered one of the best birding sites in the country. Laguna del Lagarto ecolodge might be one of the finest places for bird photography. You'll see why in this video.

Love your content
What a cool video and so much highly interesting birds. Oh yes...a Harpy Eagle. Heard about that one spotted at Boca Tapada. These birds are great. As a zookeeper I cared for a Harpy Eagle at Dortmund Zoo years ago...still gives me goosebumps all over...
Awesome so lovely video
