Kotono is more confident and vocally powerful on this song vs the songs that were not hers she sounds great here. Kanade is a great fit for them. Lisa and Hazuki of course are solid, Lisa's brother sounds tight in the pocket with them. I am interested to see where they go if they keep this lineup. Though I don't want them to steal Hazuki from Nemophila of course haha. But if you follow some of the other talented ladies in the Japanese music scene, you may notice many of them performing live and in studio with more than one group. we're not very used to that, but it seems to be a more healthy supportive scene there. which I would never have imagined given how tough the record labels seem there.
Hi Michael! I'm not sure what's going to happen to Koiai. I've been following Kanade Sato since she was eleven. Her emphasis over the last seven years has been mainly Jazz and Fusion. So, at age 21, this is a huge departure for Kanade. Hazuki will continue to support Lisa. I don't see Hazuki leaving Nemophila. Both, Hazuki and Saki see Lisa as their younger sister. Kotono is a seasoned professional. She has performed in two prior bands. I know absolutely nothing about the bassist. The bottom line is, what is each person's commitment? Only, time will tell!
Love this song! Fabulous band!
I think this is my new favourite Li-Sa-X Band track
