皆上手すぎる位上手いんだけど、ドラムの心地よさは技術を超えた天性の音のセンスなんだろう。この洒脱で知的なドラム、昔聴いたことがあると記憶を辿ると、フュージョン、クロスオーバー全盛期のバンドSTUFFのドラマー、クリス・パーカーやスティーブ・ガットの音だ。本当に佐藤さんは子供の時から円熟した巨匠みたいな演奏をする。

What a great lineup! 👋👍😃Lisa-X and Hazuki just great guitar players, Kanade as a world class jazz drummer also rocking so well (perfect in the pocket) and to my surprise Wakazaemon playing bass - great! This could be really a great rock band - but I fear that they all are in other projects so busy (Nemophila, Muses, East of Eden etc. etc.) that Koiai is just some sort of a "side project". We will see.🤔😄👍👍👍

I'm friends with Kanade's dad, and keep emphasizing that point to him, as other Japanese musician friends are playing in so many bands, jumping about constantly. I wish there were a two-band limit or something! For example Senri Kawaguchi with just 'The Jazz Avengers' and 'KIYO*SEN', etc. Not that Senri really needs the attention, but the rest would get more attention and get more noticed, more quickly worldwide.

Marty Friedman, East of Eden, Koiai, when Wakazaemon appears on bass you know you're with a top band! Absolutely cool young bass player girl.
She is incredible… if you like Waka/ same here/ and never heard it just take a gander at Misaka- Tamu -Waka - Wherever you are - such incredible cover and brilliant Waka’s bass line… i love it
I like Kanade - Waka match-up. The future can be epic with this rhythm section. So good! 🦍🍌
Like I said, Japan is on another level. My love for Japan is infinity especially them ladies!
I know Waka isn't a member of the band, but damn, the amount of skill on that stage is astounding.

Wakazaemon and Kanade really make this kind of music to let Li-sa-X and Hazuki shine. Kotono is a delight, of course.

奏さんのグルーヴはほんま気持ちいい！
I told people not to underestimate Kotono. Not a typical Japanese vocal. I don't know a single person who would not go see this show if they could. This band really sounds well practiced already.
She has extremely pleasant voice and hits the right notes. There are just two slight problems: Even if she doesn't want to, she is the "lodestar" of the band and thus she should be more outgoing and flirty with the audiences (but that is of course possible to fix) and secondly she has both pop-like voice and also style of singing and the band is very hard rock oriented, so I see a slight problem there... even though I myself am perfectly fine with her vocal performances - I like merges of different styles.
@@marklar9156 I don't necessarily want to see sexualized performance ... and her voice in the mix is what makes it different. Squeaky high-pitched vocals are the norm in Japan for female rock vocalists. Kotono has a nice balance to her voice and I think it works well for this.
@@PANIC_aka_PinD For fcks sake! :( I wasn't even remotely suggesting her performance should be anyway "sexier" but just she would encourage the audience to get more involved and generally be more the frontwoman she is!. And I totally agreed on her voice and style suiting this music (I was referring that there may be "purists" that don't like it) and you mention like I wouldn't and you get the likes and I don't??? Not that I wouldn't be very used to that crap: at "best" I once published one rather clever line in one YT-discussion and got one(!) like. Later someone had the same idea (probably wasn't copying from me) and got something around 2000 likes. What F. ever.

nemophila～葉月～KOIAI 繋がりで初めて視聴しましたが、また独特で衝撃。
ダンサンブルで軽快な演奏に入りやすい歌がとてもマッチして凄くいい曲です。所々の歌のフレーズが頭に媚びついて離れない。
肩肘を張らないで聞けるバンド。ボーカルを活かせる最高のメンバー。めちゃくちゃ昭和。

I hope so! I'm friends with Kanade's dad, and met them (with another band she was in, with Juna Serita) in London in 2019, and have been hoping Kanade would get somewhere. Looks like things are going well for her and the rest of KOIAI!

Bands that stay together are usually family members ; or started together in High school or before that. Rina Suzuki's 15th birthday was Scandal's first practice session. They have been performing together for 18 years.

I've been following Li-Sa-X since she was 8 years old. This truly is a super group. All world-class Godzilla level musicians. They could have played this song blindfolded, standing on their heads, arms tied behind their backs, while chewing bubble gum. They need to unleash their potential and explore the limits of their abilities. God gave all of them talents that they have honed to a razor-sharp edge. Their not showing us that edge with this song.

This is superbly played rock. You are speechless at the top quality musicians they bring together in Tokyo. This music is not as hard as heavy metal and therefore probably finds a wider audience in Japanese society. It's not my taste on record, but I'm thrilled by the live version. Very good and very beautiful.
The only way to make Koiai more well-known is to produce more quantities of the blu-ray. Sometimes it seems to my, that many bands from Japan want to stay among themselves. No European or even Worldwide distribution partners or just limited quantities of their CDs/DVDs. I remember, that during the 1980s, many Japanese bands had distributors for their albums in Europe or Worldwide (Loudness, Bow Wow/later Vow Wow, 44 Magnum, Earthshaker, E-Z-O). But now, Japanese bands are a bit isolated to the rest of the World.
To not be included in the credits the bass player damn near steals the show! One BADASS bassist whom ever she is!
Wakazaemon - toured with Marty Friedman and is currently member of the phenomenal band East of Eden.

Yea, if anybody had to replace the un-replaceable Yui, I wish it had been Kotono. I also really hoped IronBunny would have continued on with Kotono taking over the lead vocals, but I'm thrilled to see her here. You know IronBunny used to have a fairly regular radio show, that Lisa was on multiple times, so she has been firends with most of them for a few years. I will say the blonde hair was a shock when i first seen it, lol. Growing on me now.

夏休みに入ったこのタイミングで追加公開…なんてプランはないんでしょうか。"Future of Those Days"とか"Make You Regret"なんか、ぜひライヴバージョンを聴いてみたいですが。他にも"Inside"、"Straight to My Heart"、"No More Lies"など良い曲がいくつもあるのに、CDジャケットと音声のみの動画しかなく、残念ながらあまり再生されていません。
現時点でKOIAIのフル動画は4本しかなく、新規ファン獲得のためにも、動画コンテンツをさらに増やすべきではないでしょうか。

Am a big fan of Japanese bands (especially NEMOPHILA and EAST of EDEN, plus many others!)
Not that familiar with the singer, the drummer, and kind of know Li-sa-X a little, but HAZUKI and WAKAZAEMON drew me in to check this band out! Love it!
Kanade was a child prodigy, and now is an out of the world drummer. She can play any genre.
Singer Kotono was one of the 3 singers in Ironbunny and also was a Dancer with Babymetal (2018 after Yui left and before the Avengers in 2019.)

Hey I'm loving this got a clean 80's rock vibe to it , what a great song to introduce people to the world of female Japanese /Asian rock and let them enter the rabbit hole and right at the end of the tunnel "the chaos goblin" will be waiting :). Phenomenal musicians. And what an incredible tone li-sa-x has! Don't know what equipment she uses but hot damn, that's a nice tone. The fact she is one of the greatest guitarists helps though. Fantastic band.

@@Russ.Murphy it's that Kemper again! Every tone I hear lately that I want to steal seems to be Kemper based. I live my Marshall, my Boogie and my Laney but just can't get them dialled in the same. Going to have to bite the bullet and get a Kemper coz her tone is fantastic.
@@Arryhall Hi Arry! That's a big bite for that Kemper. And, you really need a flat guitar cabinet to go with it. Kemper's own speakers don't cut it for concert-work. The amp for the Laney FRFR cabinet is built into the cabinet. Essentially, the Kemper is acting as a preamp. Lisa does her research before buying equipment. I'm a drummer, but I'm just starting to dabble with guitar. There are two different types of Kemper heads. One is line out; and the other has a 600 watt amplifier. You have to find out what configuration is best for you. Lisa actually has a couple of videos on the Laney cabinets, so, check them out! Don't forget to turn on the subtitles. The Laney FRFR cabinets are extremely flat, so your current Laney cabs will sound significantly different.

I said something similar. I still don't think Kotono gets the credit she deserves because people don't see her as a solo artist. I think she will show them ;) .
Hi Ramair! Kotono's vocal coach is Rina who used to be the singer for Lisa X Band! So, I definitely expect her to significantly improve over time. Rina left the band to spend more time with her family, but she has been coaching Kotono for the last year and a half.
@@Russ.Murphy She just a quality I hear when Re:NO ex:Aldious sings. Obviously not the same but a mature quality that I like more. Were you able to get the Koiai Blu-ray?
@@ramair3judge Hi Ramair! Unfortunately, no, I didn't. I have a hard time making financial transactions with Japanese companies. All five of these ladies are talented to the nth degree! But my heart goes out to Waka! She's played with the best, but she's always been in the background. And she's got a great singing voice. But, the only place you'll hear it is on her own channel. You mentioned Aldious. And with Aldious, they have so many personnel changes, I'm not sure whose still in the band. The last casualty has been Marina Bozzio. She has quit the band due to colitis. Marina is an absolutely phenomenal drummer, who will never play the drums again. Yes, Koiai has tremendous promise. I just want to see all associated, treated well, with the respect that they deserve!
